Roma Cup Day - Saturday 18th May

West Australian Racing

I am / was a bit of a knock on Power Princess in the Roma, because I didnt like either of her trials.

Then I read this morning's paper that Simon believes he has her spot on....might have to rethink that one
:-?

Meantime, McBlitzam has been backed from $101 to $41, drawn well with Kevin Bohorun on. This horse has not been allowed to stride this campaign and if he's ever going to be allowed to, it will be with Kevin aboard.

McB has been sprouted on about by a couple for this campaign, but i think the rain would need to continue and he'd have to get the run of the race to be there..Reckon 40+ about sums him up

Blinkers and Visors on will possibly help McBlitzam to switch on a little bit. But on the other hand they may cause him to over race if he finds the front which will bring the rest of the field into play. It'll be interesting to see where K.B positions him in the race tomorrow.

If i was confident in a young rider on the McBlitz then KB would be ideal, good promising rider. Of the current jockeys Chris Parnham and KB are most backable i believe.

Old S.Miller doesnt mind the odd betting load up. So i would follow the money trail, if she blows out in the betting then steer clear!

Looking very forward to tomorrow after an average day at work.

Come say hello and a drink if on course, I will be having some bday celebrations downstairs probably near where Hollands Photos are if that makes sense, so that end of the complex. Will be putting some food on, antipasto platters with fresh rolls and the crostoli are being made today  =P~

Should be a good day out

Yeah i do remember this day, but Miller wasnt confident before the race he even said. Thought it may have been his last run before a spell, or that run may have been one too many. Even they get it wrong at times. Made that little bit harder with horses not able to talk!

Anyhow, i know the plunge isnt 100% right all of the time. But if big money comes then rarely do they lose. Country meetings the best example. Race 3 at Albany today when the fav halfed from over $4 to $2.4 in the last 5 minutes of betting.

Not sure about putting those 2 kids in the same sentence...KB is a ripper bloke, but has no idea about pace...handlebars down is all he knows...but good luck to him. Chris on the other hand thinks his races out well and has plenty of class.

West River Kevydonn has changed stable. Paige did a great job with that horse. Bit
of pressure on the new stable to get the horse to the same level as she had it.

Not happy about the last race winner.

Had the five favourite numbers, needed to favourite to lose. Unfortunately once it led it never looked like losing

    :-L

and whoever got 6 from 6 won fifty seven grand

    :-(( :-(( :-(( :-(( ~X(
