What a f@rk!n joke and a farce it is.
Carryover points for offences that are no longer considered offences and dog acts like dropping knees onto people on the ground don't even get reviewed.
Buddy & Goodes seem to be untouchable, yet others get crucified
+1 -1

    Fyfe

So why does Puopolo not even get a mention?
Lewis a self-confessed diver and went on to get 44 disposals. It must hAve really hurt him...

He doesn't need to get himself into those situations in the first place, he'll cop alot more attention now they know he'll react this way.

The likely scenario is maybe still a bit sore from the game before so retaliated against the taggers cop a penalty have a break avoid all the Brownlow hype and then turn up for the finals tuned to the minute .

The so called MRP IS A TOTAL JOKE .

The funny moment yesterday was Puopolo taking on Sandi talk about short and tall.

Tiv's, common denominator here is they all get heavy tags, have you noticed Murphy, Cotchin lately been whacking blokes off the ball in the guts ?  They must just get to a point where they say fcuk it i have to retaliate I have had enough. About time that the Taggers got reigned in a bit

Yep, dropping the knees on someone defenceless on the ground (Johnson & now Puopolo) is a dog act.
Much like Conca with his elbow to the head of that guy walking along the boundary

My point exactly - same as Fyfe whacking a guy behind play

LOL. A "low impact" forearm over the shoulder is now worth 2 weeks. MRP better start assessing every high tackle if you seriously think that warranted a report let alone anything more than a reprimand.
The biggest joke is applying carryover points from an incident that is no longer considered reportable and one which 99% of the football community considered unjust. Where is common sense in all this? Maybe it has an rdo on MRP review day

Didn't see much diff between this an Conca's.
Conca got two and you call him a thug.
Fyfe gets same and he's the poor victim...

Thank F for the Internet. Can actually follow non wa football media.

Fair result would have been Fyfe two and Conca four.

Fyfe will get time. Will save the AFL a lot of embarrassment on Brownlow night.

If he was just joe average - probably would have copped a reprimand

If Vickery copped 4 weeks for his bitch slap, then 2 weeks for Fyfe is at least consistent

For hitting a guy in the arm? Watch the video on afl.com.
Also, how the f can Danniel Wells cop a reprimand for the soft as butter tap to Higgins, who then collapses staging for a free? If Johnson dropping the knee is deemed insufficient force then surely that is too.
They should also contest the 2nd charge, which looked like a fair bump to me.
    Netball anyone?

Boomer Harvey is a dog, just keeps getting away with things, sqeals and whiges about things he does, at least Johnson is just dumb

Conca is very lucky he should have got 6 weeks and yes the taggers need to be sorted out they are only average footballers who only survive to annoy the living crap out of the good players, personally I would just belt the crap out of them legally

Conca should have been given 10 weeks. He was lucky not to be charged with common assault. The bloke he ran down and belted in the back of the head was leaving the field. The 'fight' was over. You can't allow people like this to get away with it. Give him 10 weeks and tell him that if he does it again he is gone for 2 years. That was a disgrace. There is a big difference between a dirty gut shot while two blokes are hugging in back play to running a guy down who has his back turned.

harvey will go, elbow on the throat is not a good look.

Fyfe actually hit the bloke with the inside of his arm, half way along the arm. I defy anyone to knock a bloke down with that part of the arm. He should have gotten a reprimand. That is a joke in my opinion. If that is worth the same as Conca king hit a bloke with the elbow from behind, I'll give up.

Daniel Wells hit his man in the guts and dropped him... the AFL's expert reckons he'll get off that one with an early plea, but will "go" for his sidebump to the same bloke which accidentally got him high. The fact is, he went for body contact, didnt line him up, and he actually took the ball along with him. But the AFL's expert says he is lucky to have gotten only 1 week for that. Once again, a joke. An intentional punch in the guts vs playing the ball and body with accidental contact...

Therein is your problem with this screwed up system.

the Chaiman of the MRP, "didnt know" how to grade Harvey's offence AND had only see half of what he did.

Does that worry anyone? He didnt know how to do his job and he only saw half of the incident, but he's the Chairman of the MRP who are making these decisions.....
    :-O

No doubt Harvey will go, but wasn't the force about the same as the (deemed) insufficient force that Johnson dropped his knee and ditto for Puopolo on Sunday that wasn't even looked at....?

If they can stop complete spuds like Joel Bowden, Mark Fraser and Wayne Campbell from having anything to do with things, would be a great start.

Fyfes is probably worth a week, which it would've been if not for the absurd head clash carryover. And no doubt the frustration is due to the comparison with Conca, who should've got 4+.

For hitting a guy in the arm? Watch the video on afl.com.

Just watched it - hit his arm - the diver was starting his pre dive routine and was going down - that with him lifting his arm caused it to slide up imho.

[-X Fyfey - can't go swingin' arms at a bloke off the ball - will get reduced to a week I think.

Looks to me like his only intent was to get a break on Lewis to make position. Similarities to a forward fending a defender to get a break on a lead. Do we want to make those reportable offences now?
Seriously anyone who thinks that "deserves" time needs to go find a non-contact sport to follow

:-< dreams are free. Never happen. Players are trained to put in for 15 minutes then get a break. Expend energy and recover - gone are the days of playing for 100 minutes.

The only time you will hear the word courageous now is when a bloke goes with the flight of the ball to take a mark - dont need courage to play the game at TV level anymore

Won't be leaving as I longer bother to go - see more bumps and physical contact in the morning at the daughters netball games

*-:)  Prediction - next rule change.

A player may only apply as much force as the umpire deems sufficient to force the opposing player to dispose of the ball. Any undue force - out for 2 weeks.

Freo are ferocious with their tackling and it softens opposing sides up. They will remove it from the game within 2 years I reckon

Whoever made up the rule that if it grazes the post (but still goes thru) it's not a goal, was having a laugh surely ???

Would have to near on be the most stupid rule in world sport !
