Long overdue for the stewards to tap Luke Edwards on the shoulder and point out the rule that requires you to give your horse the best opportunity.

Leading on Mapua Legend in that company was just short of suicidal.

Mapua Legend think would have dropped out no matter how it was driven but you might as well give it every possible chance by taking a sit and having as soft a run as possible. Shardons Rocket and Firebomb both poleaxed when the Legend commenced to go backwards.

Billies A Star was a great run after galloping out. However $2.20 was particularly skinny. Next start will be interesting. Taking short odds about Billy is a worry. Good for the bookmaker a worry for the punter.

Think American Boy would have gone close in relation to earlier question. Haven't seen replay but seemed to lock wheels when about to run home strongly. Need to see again. Hidden Bad in the previous race...goodness gracious hit the line with a few gears up his sleeve!

The Storm Chief was a good run..did too much work..follow up in the right race...Fiscalsmile couldn't miss a place at the top of the straight..then he heard footsteps and said barlese!

The classic sit and sprint horse. Needs a long sit because has a very short sprint.

If The Storm Chief had have led and handed up to Mach Time think would have run second at least. The winner wasn't over impressive. Good run Storm Chief..Fiscasmile needs to get a soft run on the back of an odds on favourite too. First four dividend nearly 7k with a $1.10 winner. Remarkable.

Trend continues ...3 longshots early on $20.80, $12.10 and $16.30 and some more "false favourites" biting the dust plus the crazy place divvies... $18, $11.70 etc. Yes, the expected shorties won ..Dodo at 1.60. Mach Time at 1.10 and some punters choked down when Elegant Christian didn't choke down. Conspiracy theories aside, the last two weeks has thrown up an unusually high spread of roughies.
