A great little race for the newly turned 3yos where I think the fave will win, but she's too short.
Magnifisio was extremely impressive at her second only start but she didnt beat anything of note. Detection on face value was a little disappointing for me but he would be much better suited leading, which I think Parnham can do in this. I think Profound Effect has a ton of ability aswell and went shinsore at the business end of the 2yo season. Those latter two can definitely upset the favourite.
Suggested Bet: Take the $6 each way Detection, he shouldnt miss a drum if he leads.

Yes would have to agree, bubble definately burst today. The quality of that race was not deep, so a big question mark now hangs over her head. Jim thinks it could be the track but only time will tell if when she runs again and it is firmer, if she can show som...

You'll have LUkes Luck and Keeper Quiet back for the longer events one would think. Like you,, Im not sure Tempestuous will get much further than 1200m. Mavrick, The Park Dancer and even Liquid Amber, never went past it so I cant see him bucking the trend.

I think the 1400M to 1600M races this October and November at Ascot will be interesting affairs and at this early stage look to be well contested. But The Rising will only contest races up to 1200M as he is considered to be a 1000M specialist at this stage by ...

I might be wrong, but I reckon both Detection and Profound Effect will end up being decent horses. Having said that, theres no The Rising or Tempestuous Strike in this race.....

Magnifisio needs to take the next step in Saturday class, unfortunately this won't be tomorrow as this race is just a midweeker with Saturday stakes. My only worry is that in smaller fields silly things seem to happen to obvious favourites. I won't be investin...
