200 stables set for Starting Five
All 200 spots for the first ever running of Perth Turf Talk's Starting Five are now filled.
The competition was tested with a small group this weekend with the smart strategists selecting two runners in the first race to maximise on prizemoney early. Tight budgets mean ever competitor will need to shop smart in week 1 with Petrenui the bargain buy at $44,500 in the test round.
Each player will also select a bench player as a sub in the event of a scratching.
All results will be displayed live on the Starting Five ladder on race day with the survival point likely to be the top 125. That means nearly 40% of players will be wiped out in week one.
Players can continue to participate in Starting Five even when knocked out to stay in the running for weekly prizes.
If you have any questions regarding the competition feel free to ask in the forum.
