Announcing the all new 'Starting Five' competition

Perth Turf Talk | Competition | Thu 30 August, 2012

Perth Turf Talk is proud to announce the launch of its latest tipping competion 'Starting Five'.

After the hugely successful Ultimate Tipping Competition 1 & 2, Starting Five combines the tipping prowess of UTC with the strategic purchasing of a 'Dream Team.

Rather than battling an opponent each week, each player will battle for survival of the 'cut-off' attempting to field the best stable with-in a limited budget to earn the actual prizemoney on offer at the Saturday Belmont & Ascot meetings.

Those who fall below the line each week in earnings are removed from the competition, while those who survive prepare and study their team for the following week.

Horses will change, budgets will fluctuate and prizemoney will differ from week to week, however the aim will remain the same - buy smart.

There are only 100 spots available in the inaugural running of the competition, so for more information and to register visit http://www.perthturftalk.com.au/s5/

The full schedule will be announced in the coming weeks.

But if we are talking handicapping, the best horses draw the worse, why would you want to give them an advantage?

Put an angled gate on the mobile barrier. Give the outside draws a better chance, rather than no chance.
