Raceday moves to ratings format

Perth Turf Talk | Competition | Thu 3 April, 2014

Raceday competitors will now undergo proper statistical ratings rather than a success strikerate.

This has led to more of the 'one hit wonder' competitors who have succeeded on debut ranking lower than the more successful competitors.

In future Raceday Carnivals the rankings will decide the Group races and not how many starts have been accumulated.

As fate would have it, Bfacey, the joint Group 1 PUNTA Cup winner has found himself on top of the ladder with 6 wins in 19 starts and $74 in PUNTA prizemoney. The impressive debutant Piggis who headed the ladder with a 100% strikerate now finds himself 9th under the new system.

Full ladder here.

I am still the most unluckiest punter in the comp.

Ratings *facepalm* . . . . will the comp going to end up with 5 horse fields as well?
