There's always much speculation as to whether dividends should play a part in tipping competitions. Today the outsider, Brocky's Deal, secured the race and the top spot for Steve246. Whether that effort will be remembered is debatable, however what won't be forgotten is the first Raceday card. 133 nominated and there were 17 winners to races.

The top 4 spots on the ladder went to our best winners, however ironically resident tipster Dane Hollingworth (holla09) demonstrated the cruel element in the game running 5th overall, yet runner-up in his race. Even 12th spot went to Damo who could only manage third in his field, whilst H-Bomber pulled off a miraculous win despite finishing 44th. He won by 90c in a nail biter and there were plenty of close finishes - including vlahs 50c triumph over Thumper.

Boondie74 finished 79th overall but dead last in his event, Marjoleo achieved the same score and finished on the podium. No one said it would be easy.

All the winners collected the first $5 prizemoney cheque from PUNTA and racing will resume next (Super) Saturday.
