No love for The Hydey?  I like it.

Charles good value for a days punting too.  Back bar at the Inglewood would be great if they put it in a few self serve terminal things...
Yep...the Hydey has been renovated nicely.

...and reckon the TAB on Central Ave (about 50m from the Inglewood Hotel might be peeved if they put in self serve machines)

not sure why but everytime i get a winner they never have any bloody money in the till! they must run with a $100 float..........
Was my biggest bugbear with TABs. No probs taking your money but problems when you have a half decent collect. Have had issues collecting as little as $3000 from quite a few tabs but now just collect and withdraw (even five figure sums) from one in particular without any difficulty.

  • Best pub TAB by far is the Port Kennedy Tavern, with a mix of old and new. Pity it's going to change soon .......... Best tips around from local trainers - they spread like wildfire.

You have obviously not been to The Odin Tavern in Ballcatta... Best by a mile !!!

Yep, nice and open and the food is sensational!

Even the Chicken/salad - ham/salad rolls are awesome! The best roll in town and only $6.50... add chips for a buck.

I'll be there Wednesday watching Novative pay for my lunch and beers

Leederville hotel has just added Sky and self serve screens.

Must be the first pubtab to come online for a while, anyone know any other recent additions?

i dunno, don't go to many pubs.
trouble with those self serve pubs is that you cannot collect.

I was in a Pub Tab for the first time in ages the other day not to wager but social drink with friend. Volume from various sports screens bellowing out but not a peep of volume from Racing channel TVs even during the local races.

Thats my gripe alot of the pubs wont play the sky racing audio sitting there having to listen to music or something while the races are run not ideal.

Its going for sure. Lease has a re-dev clause in it. Land will be sold to a developer, nek minute wrecking balls are sent in

He did not indicate how much the land would sell for, but you would imagine the local family who has owned the site for 32 years would make a tidy profit

Like saying Pike is an average jockey. That is a massive understatement

do i understand that the family who owned the land did not own/run the hotel.
that would be how oliver, pinner etc got involved in the leasehold?

Went to The Sporting Globe in Floreat last night. They are getting TAB machines in January apparently. Not a bad joint. Just avoid Wednesday nights as the quiz night is busy and very loud.

There is one in Belmont Bomber. Bit ordinary never enough money to pay you out so you have to walk over to the Belmont hotel if you want to collect

    Odin Tavern is pretty good.

Plenty of machines and plenty of screens to watch.

Was in one last week. No volume at all. Racecaller for all races was obviously Marcel Marceau
