Think something needs to be done to get some of these kids up to speed with the eastern states apprentices..

There is a massive gap between NSW/VIC and WA apprentices..

Some of these kids have no idea how to ride a race, to be able to judge pace in front, I'm just wondering who actually sits down with the WA apprentices and goes through all their videos?

No reason these kids cant be as good as the eastern states riders...Think they need much more guidance...

Classic example in the last race, no names mentioned, but one apprentice, misses the kick, digs digs digs digs, with no realisation what is happening in front of him/her. Then checks, and nearly brings down himself/herself and another horses copped interference.

Reading the stewards report i see they made the trainer put a senior rider on next start. Probably a good idea, but no mention that the young rider put themselves in a horrendous position endangering themselves and others.

Not good enough. Sub standard.
