Can anyone please explain to me how Secret Scandal - who was had 2 Merto Wins, can now nominate and accept for a race restricted to 1 or less Metro Wins this Wednesday? :-?

Was one of the wins a Wednesday? Have had one of these myself, as Wednesday is not classed as a metro win for the purpose of this restriction........ I think.

What, so you can win 5 midweek races in PERTH but still be eligible to run in a 0 Metro Win race #-o

Or does this simply fall under the banner of "handicapper's discretion"....

Yet I have noticed previously certain sales companies take the liberty of referring to these wins as "Metro".
From memory you did have one such winner yourself Funky................... ;)

A quick call to RWWA clarified. Aparently races <$18k don't count....
Strange rule, as any adjustment to prizemoney can make 2 identical ratings races either eligible or ineligible.

My midweek winner was at least a $20k race (before prizemoney dropped), so by their definition it was a midweek win....even though it was an identical ratings race to Secret Scandal, whose win is not counted.

So there, I hope that's as clear as mud to everyone....
