Quinella no good to me im only on meech straight out at the $8.50. She HAS to win on this next fave and Damien HAS to miss a place. If Damien beats her home in this race she cant win the challenge

Meech was a bit too cute on that fave. I get the feeling that is going to cost her the challenge. Im hoping the lane on faves theory comes to the fore now.

Gee he rode some stinkers there in the last three races at Pakenham tonight and I backed all of them. That's why I'm losing interest L-)

If you`re backing horses from outside gates at Pakenham (at short odds) you need a spell.
. Tykiato drew inside the winner in race 7 but somehow settled further back.
Race 7 Orujo (winner) gate 3 Tykatio gate 4.

Fairly obvious you don`t like Lane.

100 winners in VIC, year in year out, shows he can ride.
No hate. Just frustrated he never seems to win when I back him. I already know he can ride and he had two earlier winners on the night.

True. But when you're riding for Weir and Waller and you don't win you get replaced really quickly.

Weir 16/17 overall strike rate 17%.

With Lane in the saddle 26%.

Pretty sure the instructions would have been to go back from the outside draw.
  • RIORIO    14,902 posts
7 horse field???? maybe. May be more chance of don't fight for a forward position and let it settle!!! hahahaha, who knows. I just know he has put together 3 or 4 VERY winning weeks, and he still has a few chances left today!!!!

OMG, give him the cattle and he'll get them home. 5 -6 weeks ago was on struggle street. NOTHING but hard work has got him back on song.....anything between $10-20/1 he seems to do well on!!!!

Beat the short priced favourite and then in the next race tables are turned when he is on the short priced favourite and gets rolled.

2nd favorite in a Group 1, pretty sure they would have had plenty of jocks to choose from.

Prior to Lane getting on, 7 different jockeys in 7 starts.

Would imagine the owners thought getting whipped over the head was a legitimate excuse and it seems likely  that last start he rode to instructions.

Unlike the overreaction on PTT obviously Weir and the owners see it that way.

Don`t think he has done much wrong.
