TOP HALF (1) Nadal v (26) Gasquet Mayer (22) Fognini Troicki v (15) Berdych Dolgopolov (9) Goffin v (18) Monfils (27) Cuevas Dzumhur v (7) Dimitrov Rublev (3) Federer v (31) Lopez Kohlschreiber v (14) Kyrgios Millman (11) Bautista Agut v (24) del Potro (30) Mannarino v (6) Thiem
BOTTOM HALF (17) Querrey v (25) Khachanov Albot (23) M.Zverev v (10) Isner (13) Sock Fabbiano v (19) Muller Lorenzi (28) Anderson v (4) A.Zverev Coric (8) Tsonga Shapovalov v (32) Haase Edmund (20) Ramos-Vinalos Mahut v (12) Carreno Busta (16) Pouille v (21) Ferrer Kukushkin (29) Schwartzman v (5) Cilic
@PAUL Lucas Pouille made the quarters at the US Open & Wimbledon last year so he is still there in the bottom half of the draw along with Querry and Isner. In that QF at Flushing Meadows last year, Pouille lost to Monfils who was then stopped in 4 sets by Novak so he's got some game and recent form at this tournament.
So that means five of the top ten seeds(Murray[2] withdrew after the draw) are gone already and we're not even into the 2nd week? Just Goffin(9) & Thiem(6) left apart from Fed & Rafa
Delpo is cruising through atm..gets a bit tougher for him with a r16 match against Thiem but still winnable imo..could he do a 2009 repeat i wonder..possibly is my smokey this big unit. Will check his current odds later today when the market comes back up.
I dont fancy anyones chances that much in the bottom half..Querrey could even make it all the way to the final..ill have a stab that him and Pouille match up in the semi's or could the kid Shapovalov who is on a fair roll upset two more seeds to make a slam semi?
for anyone up early enough for the tennis, Federer v Lopez
Federer to win 3-1 or 3-2 is my tip, just looking back through his first two round matches, he's scraped through in two 5 setters both times to unseeded players, this morning he faces (31) Lopez who has won both his matches in 4 sets, in summary if you think Feds can win instead of taking the $1.20 take him to win in set betting 3-1 and/or 3-2
Fairly routine straight sets win, gave him a sniff in the 3rd but closed it out.Good man.
Had i of noticed your post earlier Hash i would have said be wary given Feds patchy asf form.NOW you can get your money back by taking him to beat Kohlschreiber in straight sets next round.
Rafael Nadal $2.37 Roger Federer $2.95 Juan Martin del Potro $12 Denis Shapovalov $15 Kevin Anderson $15 Sam Querrey $15 Dominic Thiem $17 Lucas Pouille $29 Mischa Zverev $41 David Goffin $51 Pablo Carreno Busta $51
The other 5 are $67 or longer.. Shwartzmann & Rublev 67 Dolgop the dodge 101 Kolschreiber is 151 and another muppet is rank outsider at 201 aka Lorenzi.
Well Thiem's best form is on clay but he seems in pretty good form atm and is consistent..just wonder if he is as good as his ranking would indicate.Round of 16 is usually when he loses at slams except for the French. Delpo is a chance imo as he is playing well too..a negative is i dont know how fit he is having only played 6 odd tournaments this year and is devoid of recent big match exposure. If he is near his best look out!
Now that all the qtr finals are decided market is :
US Open Mens Tournament Winner
Nadal $2.37 Federer $2.65 del Potro $9.75 Querrey $11 Anderson $15 Carreno Busta $20 Schwartzman $34 Andrey Rublev $51
Top 4 in the market are the only ones with a winning chance imo..doubt Querrey could win it but looks final bound.Delpo well will have to see how he recovers..bet Feds would be a bit more worried than Nadal re their respective quarter final matches.
Nadal wont play a seed until the semi's(not that most of them are much good anyway)
i've taken the $13 for Querrey to win the final with the intention to lay off when he makes the final
pencil him in to beat the Safa then cruise his way into the final where he would be no longer than $5 (hopefully shorter) and Fed/Nadal $1.20ish or worse case $8 v $1.10
your still gonna be able to lay off at half the odds you locked in

Querrey playing best tennis of his life and could go all the way. $1.71 against Anderson looks pretty juicy.
Comments
..think i counted 15 seeded players have already been eliminated.
Millman thru to the third round, i read he has had a horror run with injury good on him for persistance.
No one left in the bottom half of the draw has made a Grand Slam final. Querrey is the only one to play in a Grand Slam S/F (2017 Wimbledon).

Isner is out no surprise there, dont know much about Pouille at all.Querrey i dont rate but he could get to the semis now.
Isner out as well? Damn is there anyone left? ;))
