Should the owners of 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th buy the winning owners a drink?

    So is it just me that's ends up in the champagne room when my nag runs 5th throwing out lots of "mates" and "platitudes"?

    If there are only 7 runners in a particular race,what happens to the prixemoney allocated for the 8th,9th and 10th?
    Return to winners or back in the coffers?

    AS it stands at the moment don't the trainers of all unplaced runners get a $75.00 starters fee

    Speaking of buying drinks, Darren Weir bought $5000 worth of drinks after he was gift wrapped the KT.
    Is this normal practice or was it to thank W.a for the hospitality he was awarded.
    If it is common practice, can anyone share any other examples post Laurie Connell days.

    Wongan Hills pub in about 2007 i won chase the ace for about 2500...Told the publican to put 2000 in the safe and i'd be back tomorrow to collect it and put 500 on the bar, gone in 3 minutes......I was in the car and headign out of town in 2!!!!!! hahaha
