Yes that's not too bad at all for the 9yr. old.

Now how many of the two wins and fifteen placings are from behind leader or three back pegs ? Would say all of them! Although think she may had led perhaps once or twice. The advantage of being a foolproof beginner from the stand.

Had a few drivers apart from Lewis , Aldo Cortopassi and Morgan Woodley to name a couple.

Tote place punters are not missing her consistency and popularity either, previous two runs placed at $1.10 and $1.30.

Thanks VK..have just caught up with the results. Yes she is a bonny little mare, a battler but a trier. Haven't seen replay yet but will have 50 cents each way she got behind the leader. Good on her.

Saw her today VK...another cheque, in a blink slotted in behind the leader, who thank goodness just kept going long enough so she got a crack at them along the sprint lane.

She tried and battled away, that's Bonsu and even though not flying home was still good enough to grab third.

That must be about 3 wins and 16 placings since commenced the discussion on her. She had done very well up to that stage, to go another 3-16 is a remarkable effort.

Not wrong stg..me of little faith gave her next to no chance. That makes her effort all the more pleasing. Bonsu and Lewis...been there done that those two.

When read she's done it again thought that's great she's run into a minor placing again, not quite! $14 a win and $3.25 a drum on fixed. Lewis and along the pegs @13/1 :-$ don't tell Marko.

She ran 2nd at a nice price for the drum tonight at Northam Riders, hope you were on.

A paltry $12.70 the drum lol.....What a competitive, tactical and exciting race, the standing start. Forever hopeful (probably in vain) that they program more of them.

Resuming from the 1 $3.50 the place is tempting

It looks like with this new handicapping system that retirement is eminent for poor little Bonsu, last yet again today.

Since started following the game never professed to understand the handicapping system and still don't...but it's all over for the ten year old mare.

She's got the double whammy - out of form and despite not knowing too much about it - on handicaps she's got no chance!

The question ask - and it's a simple one - if handicapping from the stand is ideally to make things even - then why was yesterday's race for most of betting 25/1 bar three ?

    The three favourites ran 1,2,3.

Can the little mare run a ticket tonight she's missed a hole at her last 18starts and win ratio at g.p. is 1/81..but on the positive don't think anything in this field is heading for the big time

Connections might be looking to future instead with her half sisters bonjo winning a trial last week and again trialing tonight!

18 unplaced runs and shes a marvel - what thread are we going to have next - Penola Girl is a Marvel

Im trying to think where i saw it recently but a 10 or 11 year old having its 1st start won

Dan Mileki in a midweeker at Melton 4 or 5 weeks back - when  a particular horse  hit the lead near the finish - he said this thing hasnt won since Moses was a boy

If only York was still around. Small horse small track good from the stand. She would have been a specialist and punters dream.
