I'm not blaming umpires at all open your eyes and read my post I did say the umpiring was poor and soft free kicks were paid tomWC all
Night and it's were they were paid is the problem they don't get those kicks paid on the road so that rules out any chance at being a contender after what I've seen up to now WCE aren't top 4 or even top 6 material Giants Cats Crows Power Dogs then maybe Rich and WCE there's a reason I can't stand Jack Darling and that reason has been proven on the big stage he stages for free kicks at every chance good hard players that run straight at the footy don't need to cheat and stage for kicks but he is a coward I suppose

The most lacklustre Derby I have been to.
The only positive for me was the form of Yeo, JK and McGovern.
Our lack of pace won't enable us to match the big boys.
Port will smash us next week. We have some sore boys as well.
Fyfe I reckon has 16 more games in the purple. Decision time for Fyfe is this year. And from what I saw tonight wouldn't excite him for the future. That will be the Freo story for the rest of the year until he commits.
Cometti raised the form or lack of it for Michael Walters. Snuck up on me but probably is on the money.

Port will smash you no doubt about that Yeo is a great spare man but as Clarko showed last week an him up and make him accountable and he's average and kicking long and deep to McGovern was stupid footy

Wow the eagles would be happy with the umpiring at qtr time. Disgraceful

They dont get the same treatment on the road H hence why the record against good sides is average , but again not the reason we got beat we had the worst night all year Munday , Fyfe Walters Neale were all shocking if they had turned up maybe a differant result  have to move quickly on Sheridan , Ibbotson and Spurr 1 of them has to go for Sam Collins ASAP .
And if Fyfe goes which is what Detonator is saying as there is no future well he has no hope of going to WCE as there coming to the edge of the cliff very quickly they cant and wont win a flag with this list and in 2 years time Mitchell , Bradbury Priddis, Kenneddy, Hurn , and a few more will be gone beating up on a bottom 8 side at home wont change people minds on them they still have a soft under belly as proven last week and had to respond last night again go to Port next week beat them then i will happily say they are a top 4 type side

Of the Eagles free kicks inside the 50 the two given to Darling in the first quarter against Ibbotson, may not have been paid outside of Subiaco. But I believe they were there. Ibbotson did not protest on either kick. If he thought they were soft he needs to let the the umpire know. Ross would be spewing with his lack of intensity on those.
Le cras 50m penalty was an incorrect decision. Giles free kick in the 2nd quarter was a soft decision. Penalised the Eagles though because JK had marked the ball and Giles missed the goal.
Thought "Pizza Boy Porn Star" Mcarthy stood up for Freo. Looks a good get. Think I underestimated Cam.
After half time Eagles went into survival mode and the game was a non event.
Did you mention Fyfe going to the Eagles Dungy. ??? I have just soiled the front of my pants

Your chip on you shoulder has come back in a big way Dungy. Your team got dismantled last night and did not give a yelp and all you are worried about is how bad the Eagles will be in two years time. Your team suckered their supporters in again!

Not surprised Eagles beat us just annoyed about the ordinary footy they played again.
McGovern should be in a Dockers jumper and they should pay him big dollars to get him across at end of his contract.
Some of our boys struggling Walters must be missing Ballantyne and Crozier, Sheridan and Weller all this group similar players and top 20 picks and refuse to take the next step and become good AFL players.
Move a couple on wont make much difference which our recruiters need to get a bit  more adventurous.

If anyone thinks West Coast is any sort of "sniff" against Port Adelaide next week, take a look at Adam Simpson press conference post match.
NOT A HOPE IN HELL. !!!
2006 we would be a big "sniff" . Lol

What are peoples thoughts on Sandilands? He might get 1000 hitouts but that's about it. Is he too predictable?

The same as my thoughts on ruckmen in general....overrated.

Unless you have an elite ruckman I have said for years to play an extra mid and no ruck.

The AFL would not like that look for the game and I think Bevo has been close to doing it this year. If we keep losing ruckmen we may be forced to do it pretty soon.

Hitouts to advantage are a ridiculously low % and they dont collect stats on hitouts to direct disadvantage.

I was taking an interest last week Dungy and was actually enjoying reading your comments as they seemed well considered. I now realise that must have been an aberration and you must now be off your meds again.

Have to agree Leigh Matthews has always said that the Lions won 3 flags without a decent ruckman

From memory Clark Keating was a significant player in those flags. May not have been great during the year but turned up on the big day.
Slow coach Matt Priddis won the Brownlow in 2014 on the back of Nic Nat putting it down his throat and giving him first use.
He looks 2 yards slower this year and the midfield in general without the big man.
Eagles can't win shitte without him.
Oh, and he did kick the winner against GWS at their home ground last year.
Can't recall Sandi doing anything like that.
    I miss you NIC. :x

Fair call Det but just to correct you Bradbury Priddis won a Brownlow by 2 votes after Gaz dos his shoulder and missed 8 games and Fyfe missed 5 games ,,,the fairest won the medal that year without doubt but not the best

Point taken. Bradbury Priddis was the leading possession getter for the whole comp that year, as well as leading tackler. Fantastic effort for a slow coach who only gets them in the congestion.
Fyfe was clearly the best that year suspension cost him.
But my point is that Nic (as the best tap ruckman) in the league proved his worth as the ruckman.
    Ruck rovers are old school.
Afl will alter the grabbing the ball out of the ruck next year to keep ruck contests from becoming a farce like we have seen a few times this year.

It is a bit of an indictment on the Eagles that they can dish up the tripe they performed against the low flying Hawks last week, then basically ice the match last night by quarter time. The Dockers in reality handed that match to them mind you, by giving McGovern marking practice every time they went inside 50. It must be so frustrating for the Eagles coaching panel, that the difference between their best and worst is so great.

No argument from me mate on Nic Nat I reckon if he was playing you would be top 2 he is a ruckman that can rove his own ball not to many of them around plays in bursts

Watch Simpsons press conference and you see the frustration.
If you didn't know last nights result you would swear the eagles lost the match.
I think Simmo can se the writing on the wall and knows he does not have the cattle at his disposal to fix it.
Last nights result did nothing to sway anyone's opinion on the problem at hand.

What is the exact problem ? I no what Fremantles is need more fire power and a decent small defender who can use the ball of a back flank , Ibbotson Sheridan and Spurr are on borrowed time in loving Mcarthy but jury out on Kersten big time he's got no footy arts about him

Too many average players who don't have the hunger to raise their game to win in adversity.
Redden, Wellingham, Hill the obvious ones.
    Captain not inspirational.
Coach can't get the best out of them.
    Zero pace.
If you want an example of how to go about it, just look at the bulldogs 2016.
Starting with their no names, Biggs, Hambling,Daniel, Wood,Hunter, Roughhead.
Played for each other and for their coach.
Coach had a handball, contested game plan to suit what he had at his disposal.

Freo are a lot better side with Sandilands in it as far as clearances go. When he played most of the games in 2015 we were 2nd in clearances. We dropped down to 11th when he didn't play much last year and this year he's played all games and we're currently 2nd again. There were obviously other factors involved last year like Fyfe missing but overall we're a lot better with him than without him.

Sandilands is too old and slow can't even bend down to pick up the ball
Has been a great player over the years
    But time to retire
The speed of the game has passed him
