Race 6 will be interesting at the start. Does the stable want to lead with galactic star or condrieu? If r bell presses the button at the start condrieu would cross easily and is by far the better value of the two.

Maybe they should have got bondy on the preview this morning and asked him what he thought might happen. I'm sure he wouldn't have misled the battling punters :)] :-? :D

Got a feeling Rabchenko will have a very solid dip for the lead here. Based on that pretty keen Khun Ratha EW. Only running well when it does naught early at the moment, do that hear and finish over them.

Will be waiting for a pegs trip before I go near Khun again. Massive divs there, fav getting beat a big plus for my quad at least.

If somebody had said in running...Vanquished leading...Risk in the one out one back..that neither would run a place...well you would say...I've seen everything if that happens!

El Hombre earlier $1.36 goodness gracious....the barrier one curse struck again. How much do the bookies get out of these barrier one certainties?! Vanquished gate 2 also a gonzo. One and two may win more races than any other draw....but always unders with a capital U .

Village Benny to get the pegs run and hopefully can sneak 2nd ,3rd or 4th in the next.

@Ridersonthestorm33 And Sheer Rocknroll wins after sitting in the breeze and was parked wide for almost a lap before that.

Not a bad run Benny...didn't get a lot of room up the straight but may have battled anyway. True @TRP if you come into barriers one and two at GP be prepared to take unders...just look at the previous race and Cott Beach from the nine...shazam.

Old favourite mare in the next Auctioneers Elsu...don't look...barrier one and $1.70 ...oh no. Will lead.. will win or will the curse strike again?! Going to stick with CC Chevron for a place.
  • Ridersonthestorm33Ridersonthestorm33    10,809 posts
Auctioneer first horse beaten and carts CC Chevron back with her. Barrier one short priced favourites at GP as they said about the great film Alien - be afraid - be very afraid.

Thanks Largely to Sharon's Rocket being my Mrs fav horse, possibly the only horse who's name she actually even remembers I managed to snare around 10% of the quad for $17. Why is it always the nights you bet the smallest are the nights things fall your way?!?!?!

Its all relative Gilgamesh...I would be happy to have 5%!
Auctioneers Elsu barrier 6,7, or 8 goes around at 14/1 barrier one - odds on. Come in spinner.

As a driver Turvey would be ranked behind the likes of Jnr, Lewis, Shannon & Woodley.

But I'll tell you what......the guy rarely makes a mistake or carves one up.
    Great drive on cott beach.

Always had a bit of time for the trotter Char Ming...Hudson Bay to win and Char Ming for the place. Needs a bit of luck from the 12 Ming but has ability. Can be tricky the trotters , often a chance of a dipsy doodle.

Yes can't complain with what was literally the change from the side of the car door from coffees during the week! But did also have experience the 2nd horse in both the 2nd and 3rd legs, could have added an extra zero to the collect!

Sea Cider opened up something ridiculously like 26/1 with sportsbet. Madness considering her efforts at her 4 starts since the stable change.

Anybody notice Hudson Bay in the first score up - goodness gracious talk about a bee in his bonnet. He was gone before they scored up a second time. Coming into odds on about him in the future - good luck!

Offthebit you would have snapped up tote $1.20 a place Blinding Light in the last race...blimey that horse opened up short on the billy goat...was around flip of a coin straight out early. Don't mind Ryan Warwick at all as a driver...but several of his drives do seem to go around at a price shorter than they should be. Bettor Not Bitter in the first race another example. Tipped to work it's way to an early lead...worked its way to an early last.

Finally the stewards have told drivers wind surfering isn't allowed anymore during a race, which in turn will see less horses hitting wheels, the rule has all ways been  you have  to be  in the confines of the  cart... These  new lets lock wheels carts, are  hard to police to the seventh degree due to the seat being outside the confines, not encased like the older carts,    and targets for the knees of a high stepping trailing horse. Kudos to the stewards good to see demanding that rules are upheld
and the safety of the main ingredient the horse is looked after.

A very good bunch of  two-year olds, there tractability is very important at this stage....golden state
at bunbury in his first start he put in few rough ones after the start but last night under more early pressure it was all to much for him bingo...

Saved on village benny was hoping jnr would remember lewis let him off the hook in the freo cup, when he could have shut his running down on Chicago bull.....But jnr  he seemed more than desperate to hold village benny in at the same stage ...Lewis certaintly would  not  have paid jnr
the gentleman driver compliment   after the race....

Looking forward to these young horses clashes in the upcoming features, at this stage about twenty metres covers them at the finish.....

Good to see her trying to get this game back on a level playing field  and trying to ignite  punter confidence  in this industry, and reminding a few drivers its not all about them..

W.A.s only legend in my book A.C. Lewis.....fined $100 out of position fri,  plus  fort night ago incorrect whip action reprimand.....Looks like auntys started off the new job with chris who?
how it should be good luck to her in her quest  to  improve the image of this once great industry...

Hope her enthusiasm rubs   off  onto   the  lever pullers ,,,Biggest problem in tab land reluctance to  bet in races that have multiple runners from stables ,as the pool of trainers diminish..... have to come up with answer for this problem fast.

All stables with multiple runners city and country, stewards are asking for their tactics pre race
  • savethegamesavethegame    2,784 posts
Good news matt, that's the start, to be included in stewards reports post race? ..so punters can witness nothing untowards has taken place....(announcements don't need to be made to give other drivers a advantage regarding other drivers tactics)
believe in a race for stakes   25k  or less the third runner of any stable in any particular race should be drawn from any eligible junior reinspeople, for all the right reasons.....

Still adamant  stewards should change the rules  re;; adding odm. to horses for 1,2,3 runs if  the stewards believed  from past performances  a natural leader and visual observation it is stood on its head  to  let  a  stabemate  lead.. without logical reason  like we use  its gate speed than hand up depending on distance  of race  etc ?. ..Of cause if   your  20/1 and hand  up to the favourite stablemate  totally understandable..

Seen quite a few odds-on. hand up to stablemates and then just don't ran them down... is the biggest  problem to manage...
