you cannot blame o'shea, the pressure would be incredible. he appears to have done a sterling job.

The only pressure he has/ had is keeping staff and keeping the so called race manager under control... We could train all winners from that stable...

I was surprised he has gone as well as he has. He seemed to break all his toys when he was out on his own. Could never keep them going to too long before they broke down.

The pressure would be unimaginable.....would more than likely not enjoy his work at the minute....once the enjoyment stops, so does the passion.....
congrats to him for getting out whilst his still temporally sane.

    cheers.

Im going with Appleby. Think he has it in the bag.

2nd pick for me would be between B Baker or Joe Pride.

Not sure it would be any more pressure than the normal trainer with a $500k mortgage, 3 kids at private school and $300k worth of yearlings with no confirmed buyers.

6 figure annual wage, 10% of millions in prize money, high end accomadation, no costs and an endless supply of quality horses would seem like a dream to most trainers.

the money trail on these novelty bets rarely misses so on that theory James Cummings ($8 into 1.80 within minutes of the market being opened) would be the obvious tip surely

Not sure if he would abandon Leilani Lodge with all its history. His mrs is also the MD at Gooree Stud so he will be walking away from a fair bit. Thats what swayed me.

Money speaks more than tradition. I think that they will go for a young trainer so that they can control all that he does. Get the money and get out is my take...Cynical ???Perhaps????

I think James would be a bit too young...plus he does not need the money or the worry..his missus would be worth millions.

@thefalcon You're forgetting that young buck had to be put in his place by the great Bart, himself. He thought he knew more than the legend.

    Apparently.......

I'm going with Kris Lees. One of my favourite trainers as he seems to get horses to perform right up to their ability. That Whang Wah is a serious horse.

Darren Beadman has been granted a trainer's licence and will be taking over the Godolphin horses as from Sunday.

Appears to be a temporary situation with (in spite of reports that James Cummings was taking over) no offer being made to anyone else at this stage.

    ;)) :-j
    Makes sense.
    Darren Beadman called God.
First three letters of super stable spell God.
    B-)
