East Coast Racing
jumjum    3,512 posts

Well its upon us again fellow PTTrs. My favourite time of year. :\">  :\">

I'm starting a thread on which horses everyone is looking forward too seeing or any up and comers we should look out for. And maybe unload on and follow through the Carnival. So don't be shy. throw up your thoughts and follow this thread through the spring.

I'm looking forward to seeing.

If Quilista can go through the mares races and pick up a Group1 which I think is well within her reach.

Royal Symphony going through undefeated winning The Guineas.

Tulip in the 3 yr old Fillies races.

I'm going to be on Jon Snow right through to the Caulfield Cup.

And Crocodile Rock through to the Melbourne Cup.

Can Chautauqua get over the top of Vega Magic late in the Everest ?????.

And my roughie that I will be backing through the carnival at Great odds that I hope can pinch a race over the carnival will be Aneheim.

 <:-P  <:-P  $-) $-)

Hope everyone can Back a winner in the next 12 weeks and enjoy the carnival as much as I know I will

:D

Is the Caulfield Cup still a handicap? I liked the win of Bonneval in the ATC Oaks-not sure her racing pattern(i.e getting back) suits Caulfield, but if Bowman sticks, then she's going to be a chance in all the staying races

im predicting some decent results for the West Aussies over there. I know its easy to gush over a horse after a win but Quilista my oh my - what a win that was! Will be following this one moving fwd.

Vega Magic, if he gets a run, will run top 3 in the Everest (at the very least).

Another horse im following with a great deal of interest moving fwd is a 3yo colt called Gold Standard with Gai. Its owned by WA interests. Ran a nose 2nd last Saturday and should have won if it didnt miss the kick. Im on at $100/1 for the Golden Rose and $67 in the Caulfield Guineas.

Heading to the CC this year and have already thrown some cash at the Blue fella - All-in (refund if not in 1st noms), but worth the risk at $11, as I'm sure he is avoiding Winx and will definitely go to the CC (notwithstanding some freak injury)

If he wins another race and then is in the noms, surely the $11 won't be available.

  • ThunderstruckThunderstruck    7,676 posts

As @Jell states, sportsbet and William Hill offer this condition, others may, but our own bet local TAB does not (or atleast does not advertise it)

BTW, you can pricepump to $13 with Sportsbet, but as I had cash in my WH account, I went for the $11

Caulfield-All in betting. Dead heat rules apply. Protest Payout does not apply. Bets refunded if horse not in 1st nominations. Others added on request.

For me it's Egg Tart dessert followed by a cup of tea with a couple of Gingernuts.

    Follow those two this spring!

Gingernuts is a a very nice horse. His run to win the Avondale Guineas was as good as you'll see. Been working well and is definitely one I'm following in all the big ones.

Androssan and Summer Passage will also be very competitive in whatever they compete in.

Bonneval is also pretty smart and just keep improving. Be interested to see if they bring Lizzie L'Amour across for a few of the staying races.

Looking forward to the 3yo filly Shoals resuming too.She is nommed for the Golden Rose and Thousand Guineas but is cutting it fine for the Sydney race so might be on a different path..first up run is scheduled for the 9th September at Moonee Valley.
And im keen to see how the Golden Slipper winner She Will Reign goes this spring..is once again flying at the trials and trackwork.

Crocodile Rock goes around today @ $1.90 over 2400 at Sandown. I have multied up with Speedeor in race prior as Lindsey Smith through it out on Radio on Friday as a Monty.

Benny Melham pushed the Button early on the Crocodile, will still be following this spring, Moonee Valley Cup might be his race.

A super win by a super colt, GOLD STANDARD. Watch out for the big red son of Sebring in the Golden Rose <img class="Emoji Emoji--forText" src="https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/72x72/1f339.png" draggable="false" alt="
