Can be a little bit dodgy from the stand Heaven Rocks but has one heck of a motor! Lazarus a likely leader but not favourite :-O says something to the testament of Heaven Rocks.

Have Faith In Me. 33 starts 16 wins 6 seconds 2 thirds...prize money closing in on 1.5 million...should start double figures...that's testament to both Lazarus & Heaven Rocks!

    Game on.

Lazarus might be vulnerable here. They were not going to race this week but there was only 3 noms so the All Stars added him and (I think) DOM as they wanted the race to go ahead

This is what happens when it gets too cozy at the top.....

One way of looking at today's result ( especially for value punters )....when and where in a small field of five and starting off the front line from barrier three would you get $2.60 a win on Lazarus and also from the front line $4.50 a place Have Faith In Me.

Also for that matter in a five horse field Lazarus winning , Faith In Me Second , Dream About Me ( also more than handy ) a first four dividend of better than $127.

Track work early but Lazarus breaks 26 for his last quarter. Have Faith still racing ungenerously and the fav went awful.

Think the favorite might be lame.

    Looked uncomfortable the whole race.

Absolutely...was thinking the same or secondly something wrong with the gear. Down the back straight thought a chance to gallop. At one stage looked a possibility to drop out sooner than he did , then came back a little before weakening right out of it.

    HEAVEN ROCKS
    - paced indifferently at various times through the middle stages. Paced
roughly and shifted ground outwards near the 250 metres and was uneven
in its action to the line. When questioned regarding the gelding's run,
    driver and co-trainer N Rasmussen
could only advise that she thought the horse had gone amiss over the
final stages after pacing indifferently throughout. A post-race
veterinary examination showed the horse to be lame in the near front
leg. A veterinary clearance will be required prior to HEAVEN ROCKS resuming. Ms Rasmussen
advised Stewards further veterinary examinations would take place in
the coming days and she undertook to advise Stewards of anything which
may come to light as a result.
