    its the 2nd or 3rd running hash.....is there a 2400m lead-up? there should be.
we have NO true stayers in the state so the race is a waste of time..could completely stuff a few horses...

Zarantz ran second favourite last year at about $6 but was a bit of an upset..the unplaced $1.50 favourite - Dark Alert.

20/1 chance Sunset Superman was runner up. Le Schiller at about 14/1 third.

The grey horse trained by F.R. Kersley to win in 2015 - Ask Me Nicely. Also from memory won a good race in Kalgoorlie possibly a Boulder Cup.

The run before the WA 3200 metre Cup Ask Me Nicely was runner up in the Pinjarra Cup to none other than Kirov Boy who carried 59kgs ( thrown in haha ) for Danny Miller. He had run a slashing third when carrying 54kg in the 2015 Perth Cup Kirov Boy behind Real Love.

An eastern states horse who should be flown over for the race and could pick up a cool $88,500...he would only get a luxury 59kgs...he maybe 9 years old, but what saw at Rosehill in the Tancred Stakes a neddy by the name of Who Shot The Barman would have this race at his mercy.

He should do a hit and run.

Is 4th fav for the $2M Sydney Cup

Nobody is coming from the east for the $150k WA Cup ever

Yes was just dreaming with that thought - he's $13 for the 3200m Sydney Cup one week before... that race has prizemoney of around $2million. Enough said.

Probably still get $88500 if he happened to run last in it =))

That got me thinking and have delved into the Sydney Cup prizemoney break up.

    1st. 1,160,000
    2nd. 380,000
    3rd. 195,000
    4th. 90,000
    5th. 45,000
    6th, 7th, 8th. All 20,000
    9th and 10th. 15,000
11th and beyond. Thanks for coming.

    Equine Welfare Fund - 20,000
    Jockey Welfare Fund - 20,000.

Running 4th in the Sydney Cup ( not easy ) worth about the same as winning the WA Cup.

How was the trial of Sunset Superman yesterday (Pinj Cup) that should top it off just nicely for this
  • runyonrunyon    569 posts
Reasonable size field this year. All of them stepping up 900m or more except I'm A Bluebagger who's dropping back 400m and 10kg lighter from it's last run.

It’s in my top 4 along with DM

Is there a such thing as an owner being in a purple patch of form @TheDiva

you know he gets the trip... just needs some tempo. his lead up runs have been good.
I do think the $10 is a bit on the skinny side though.
Plays the game has had a couple of tries at 2400m and above and failed twice... (6-7 lens each time).
