we're in danger of coughing up a bonus point

The bonus point doesn't really matter. If WA win, they're guaranteed a top two finish and will go straight through to the second stage of the finals.

This season, like junior sport, everyone gets to play finals.

I meant us getting rolled and them getting a bonus point.

4 quick wickets has just fixed that though.

How rubbish is the JLT format. QLD finish last with 1 win and can still play in the final. WA goes 5/5 if they lose their next game they are out.

And not only that the top of the ladder unbeaten WA had to play the lower positioned VIC at the VICs home ground Junction Oval....absolutely ludicrous!!!
Who made up these ridiculous fixtures the V(A)FL???

Gave up on this nonsense years ago after they absolutely destroyed the 50 over, 1 day concept of a round robin....... everyone plays everyone else twice, once at home once away, seemed fair. But oh no, some rocket scientist, new world budding administrator with a Ph D in screwing pre existing working concepts, is hitting his "targets" or meeting his "KPI's" or some other shite by dreaming up this absolute garbage of an idea. A 3rd rate set of fixtures played at 2nd rate venues with nobody watching. I see someone got 260 the other day with 19 sixes off very few balls....where did they play it, in someones games room????
Nah, cricket has lost me completely....apparently there is a "test match" being played in Dubai or some other god forsaken place in the desert where it is 42 degrees by 9am in the morning, in front of officials and two camels .....and who in Australia could give a flying fig? Nah, would rather pull weeds from the garden.

Chasing 482, AUS collapse from 0/142 to be all out for 202 (Khawaja 85, Finch 62). Ducks on debut for both Head and Labuschagne. PAK haven't enforced the follow-on.

Think the huge pro Pakistan crowd has had an affect on the game.

More people spotted at a Belmont Park mid week meeting.

So, in other words, it's just like a regular Sheffield Shield crowd then ... :-?

Somewhere between a Shield crowd and a WAFL game.
Anyway Pakistan are enjoying it and they don't have 50 sports scientists, 27 high performance managers, 12 psychologists or Collective Minds in sight!
They have natural talent and play for the fun and enjoyment of it - win or lose.

We all missed a ripping game of cricket in the T20 World Cup Asia B Qualifier in Kuala Lumpur today. Myanmar scored 8/9 from 10.1 overs (6 players making ducks) before the heavens opened up. After it stopped raining, Malaysia with the benefit of D/L had that target revised down to just 6 runs off 8 overs, and even they managed to make hard work of it, losing two wickets in the first 4 balls (to be 2/1) before chasing down the target in 10 deliveries.

AUS salvaged the draw ... just!

    PAK 482 & 6/181d
    AUS 202 & 8/362 (Khawaja 141, Head 72, Paine 61*)

Khawaja's 141 is the highest score in the 4th innings of a Test in Asia by a non-Asian player, beating the 140 made by Dan Vettori (NZ) v SL in 2009.
