For the big one - the place punter's dream horse, this guy very rarely lets you down. He meets Railway Stakes horses much better at the weights.

Barrier 2. Lobbing behind Trap For Fools & Great Shot - Material Man - the Place!

I tell you what he can do better than place. This race IMO has been the target.

The filly might blow them away but shes playing with the big boys now. Like you said, will be there in the finish that is for sure

Ok that's good enough to have on top.
    1. Material Man
    2. Arcadia Queen
    3. Gatting
    4. Galaxy Star
    Best Outsider: Perfect Jewel
Leaving out Trap For Fools but always a worry. Especially if track leader responsive.
Could win - could be the first horse beaten.

The day will be tinged with sadness for the Doughty family in race 3 with the race being named in honour of the late Bill Doughty , the trainer of Rockon Tommy. by all accounts a top bloke. May he rest in  peace

My carnival has been deplorable, so take anything I say with less than a grain of salt

The 1800m start at ascot will be the undoing of Trap for fools I think, will have to do plenty from 10 to get across. Arcadia Queen is a beast of a filly but at the odds I'm with you guys MM each way all day.

Arcadia Queen will be in front of Galaxy Star and won't have to work to get there, from that point on it's a matter of using its weight advantage

It was a scorch the turf early railway, first up over 1600m chasing that speed. Does that take something out of Material Man or have him strip fitter for the run and be spot on? I fear it is the former.

There's a better 33/1 chance than Achernar Star...thought this guy was ok in the Railway, boxed on well off the cracking speed...will have to go back from the wide draw, would have given him a much better hope from an inside draw, but will have a lottery ticket on that he beats Achernar Star home - his name Mr. Sea Wolf.

I'll be backing Material Man again and also Achernar Star heavier the place.

Also something each way Fontainebleau in R6 wouldn't be the worst idea. Second up, barrier 1, Smithy back riding with blinkers first time.

    Good luck everyone tomorrow :-bd

Might not have much to come but D. Lane was $11 in the J.C and 7 points after three races. He's a class hoop, think every inch as good as Pikey.
Pat Carbery ride was outstanding too in the second race.

Three more rides for Lane - Orcein 10/1, Pearls and Prawns 11/4, Gatting 14/1.

Nice effort Fontainebleau. Threw her in the trifecta for third very reluctantly!
    Good work @Jell.
