Can be some great entertainment in the trotters races, today at Melton was no exeption, in race 5 the third favourite Alderbaran Willo with Gavin Lang in the sulky lost 100 metres in the score up.

Not sure how to get the replay up - but you hardly see Alderbaran Willo for most of the race, was meant to start inside of the back line - the drive by Gavin Lang - he's been driving for as long as can recall - the unflustered cool iceman.

Thanks VK - that's even better than the tab replay - just shows a fraction more of the score up.

That was a rare win, helped by a little interference before the corner, but even so sensational effort - Lang at his best. Had to be at least 100 metres he lost - was only a 1720 metre event.

At Geelong last night - Race 2 - Peter Perfect - far from it - absolute miracle win - broke at the top of the straight- veered right out wide  ( and wiped out its stablemate who i happened to be on !! ) - tickets looked to be confetti for both - then recovered - knuckled down and got up and won - amazing win

The first heard was when it crossed the line in front, ouch...can't work out, um yes we are talking Maryborough - if looked up and paid $3 or $5 or even $7 would have thought ok can handle missing that.

Must have been a strong trotters race for Maryborough.

Type of horse you'd just wait for the score up and then put your tote ticket on at the $27.

Hey riders it was a group 3 race so he was definitely up in grade.
Sorry to sink the boot in mate but he was 50/1 fixed all morning today.

Yes a Group 3 race and from a standing start!! Can forget the score up - just had to step away - Group 3 if cynical can mean just the usual suspects!

Also did you see Little Peanut won at over $20!! What is going on there?! He has run competively against the best of the best as a three and four year old, now 20 starts for 10 wins 3 seconds....he was running against Poster Boy and others in Melbourne and Menangle - goes to Maryborough over $20. Greg Sugars too.

Must be one hell of a meeting for a Thursday at Maryborough.

Would enjoy if fielding as a bookie there - would have gone up 9/2 Aldebaron Willo and a bit more generous on Little Peanut - 5/1.

Sicario was first up in oz so the market was a bit skewed. Didn’t see the race but didn’t finish top 4

Yes that was short, some of the ex - Kiwis are ex's for a reason - their not much chop! Many others admittedly do extemely well, they wouldn't sell them cheap. There aware that prize money is a lot better here!

Would like a $ for every ex - Kiwi seen gallop in Australia too - the % would be interesting - normally when first up and at a $1.20 or less!

Was a bit easy in the betting Siccario - out to $1.95 fixed and drifted alarmingly to $2.70 on tote. Had form around I'm Pats Delight and Star Galleria.
