AFL Tanking

Going to be an interesting end to the season in regards to the traditional "tanking" for draft picks.
Adelaide have swapped 1st round picks with Carlton so if Carlton finish bottom, Adelaide get the no1 pick. Carlton will probably end up with pick 10 to 15 I reckon.
No incentive for Carlton to come last.

NBA is getting closer to it, and I reckon the way to go.
    No automatic draft order.
You either make finals (incentive) or you don't.
Those that don't go in ballot to allocate drafting order - equal weighting for all non finals teams.
8-1 pick in order as per now as obvious incentive already to finish as high as possible.

THat will do away with tanking.

Based on current ladder positions round 22 could be interesting.
North Melbourne vs Port Adelaide. Could be a record margin as both teams could potentially have an interest in a blow out margin.
I reckon the "tanking debate will be hotter than ever.
Even Craig Hutchinson on footy classified was already talking Melbourne to manage their finish to the season. And this is after round 9 !!!!
