Sad to see old Spot The Shark die with his boots on last night....I know these things happen but he was a bit of a "fan favourite" and good that Kyle avoided injury. Took a bit of gloss off a top night, terrific to see Brian Clemens and Soxy take out GP Horse of The Year, Brian was absolutely delighted and so he should be.

That was sad for Spot The Shark...only race had a bet on last night - got close to $3 a place old fave Bee Seventeen - trailing directly behind the good thing of the night!

Tooed and frowed - will he hold up on the back of the fave / will he still be good enough/ affirmative, affirmative - he just held up! But after that, despite just a little anxious moment or two held second fairly comfortably on the line.

Good drive Aldo Cortopassi stuck to the pegs like the proverbial glue.
