Heard some rumblings about the state of the track towards the end of yesterday's meeting. If correct and if the rain that is supposed to be coming over the next 3 days eventuates even with the rail at 15 meters think this meeting may be in jeopardy of going ahead. The nominations for Wednesday are big due to the trials being cancelled last Monday . If the meeting doesn't go ahead might throw a bit of reassessment into trainers preps with horses returning from spells especially the ones that missed out on trialling last week.Fingers crossed

I really think the twice a week, every week, racing at Belmont needs to be looked at.

There are definite concerns about the track from connections of horses worth looking after.
    - Some won't race now until Ascot due to it, when they were planning to do so as an interim winter preparation.
    - I'd suggest Bob Peters is limiting his horses running on that track as well.

There are a number of very good races through winter on offer and they are being decimated by this. Northam and Pinjarra should be utilised far more, no question.

The price of food and drinks at Belmont are through the roof. Its actually disgraceful what they want to charge
