the cave is yours, and i suspect you have club to go along with it.
you are living in the past, which is very evident with your 27 page sagas.
the age after costello's mob took over, also never signed the editorial independence charter which they said they would, but never did.
it's a sore point for many there.
to demonstrate that things change.....herald sun, once upon a time could tell the truth sometimes.

so now we have dictator dan, proof enough that you like getting told lies by newscorp, and the sky after dark lunatics bins.
probably also from dim tim, the brain dead moronic member for kew.
pity the poor residents of kew, hopefully they wake up next time.
perhaps too, you have craig kelly on speed dial

henceforth i shall call you...no i best not it will be censored.

It’s a pretty sad state of affairs when Daniel Andrews has a more measured response to one positive case of a hotel worker than what we have.

Is that the Craig Kelly quoting peer reviewed scientific papers? The Craig Kelly backed by prominent doctors? I understand left wing media have demonised him and your attitude reflects someone who believes the left wing narrative. Why not address the facts? Have a look at the most recent studies with regard to treating Covid with Ivermectin/zinc. It's highly effective and dirt cheap. Same with hydroxychloroquine. The studies are numerous
The reason given for ignoring and banning these treatments? A very early study that didn't include zinc and treated far too late at the wrong dose. Bans put in place and eyes and ears closed from then on.
Admitting they got it wrong and cost lives won't happen so we continue to ignore sound therapies.

It's really just a dogs breakfast.

Trackwork resumed yesterday and you can go to a liquor store to buy grog.
You can't go and see a doctor or a physio but you can cram into Coles or Woolies.

Wearing a mask whilst riding a bike along a deserted cycle path does what exactly?

The boys up at work (in the Pilbara) are having to wear masks for 15 hours a day, all food is pre packed and facilities closed (gym, pool etc).... in the Pilbara ffs!

These restrictions are more severe than when this flu first broke out, what's their end game?

    Well done Carey.

Once again you display just how blinkered biased you are.

Unlike you, and, rather than resort to personal insults about the presenters, and those who appear on their programs, such as Tim Wilson, I do agree with you, that "after dark," which would be from Chris Kenny's show at 5.00 P.M. until midnight, a period of 7 hours, the presenters on Sky News Channel, are on the right of the political spectrum.

Of course, as is always typical of blinkered biased lefties, you deliberately omit the fact that from 6.00 AM until 5.00 P.M.  a period of 11 hours, the presenters from Peter Stefanovic onward, are all on the left side of the political spectrum.

I also find it interesting, that of all the right leaning guests and politicians who appear on the shows on Sky from 5.00 P.M. you have gone out of your way to only nominate one, who according to you, is a "brain dead moronic member for Kew", referring to Tim Wilson, as "dim tim".

You could have picked on any number of people who appear on those shows, but made the decision to defame and degrade a gay man. I will let others come to their own conclusions about what I believe appear to be your issues, with members of the gay community.

As far as Craig Kelly is concerned, whose leader Scott Morrison went out of his way to throw under a bus yesterday.

Kelly is paying for the fact that because Donald Trump said that Hydroxychloroquine in combination with Ivermectin and Zinc, should be used to treat Covid in the early stages, it can't possibly work.

I can assure you that had President Obama said it, everyone would be using it.

Yesterday, Kelly quoted Emeritus Professor Peter Clancy, who was made an Order of Australia for his breakthrough work in immunology, and who stated, that the case for using both drugs in combination with zinc was now " irrefutable with 27 studies showing Hydroxychloroquine did work"

Yesterday, when confronted by a 9 network journalist, Professor Clancy said that Kelly was "absolutely right and early treatment is highly effective".

Now, there may well be alternative views to Professor Clancy's. In fact there are.

However, this does not mean that Craig Kelly should be prohibited from expressing the view put forward by Professor Clancy. He is not, as some would have it,a crackpot, nor is he quoting one.

What is happening to Kelly, who is basing his information on the advice of a world renowned, highly respected, specialist immunologist, who was quoting the results of 27 studies, is typical of the cancel culture that has invaded every aspect of our lives.

Hotel quarantine security guards at the front line of
keeping the highly contagious B117 COVID-19 variant out of Western
Australia have called for better wages and duty of care provisions, with
many paid as little as $22 an hour to put their health at risk during
    12-hour shifts.

    Speaking anonymously for fear of
being sacked, two security guards working for different private
contractors have spoken out about the poor conditions and personal toll
    of the job.

$22/hr??!! My daughters got paid more when they worked at K-Mart as kids!

The governments handling of hotel quarantine, not just in WA, but around the country is an absolute disgrace!

There has been studies/reports that suggest the UK strain is NOT more contagious or deadly, no solid evidence either way I think you'll find.

The point is, you can buy grog, but you can't visit a GP?!?

And what sort of state would have our affairs been in if this was not just one case. What if we had returned 55 cases on Monday, 40 on Tuesday and 60 on Wednesday.

We would all be Fuckkedd. Because then all those people would have been in contact with other people and it could have blown up massively. We should be thanking our lucky stars

The 5 day call was the right one. Its not 14 days or 21 days its just 5. and then we reassess.

Whilst the debate between our erstwhile Victorian colleagues, the Melbourne based local representative of Proud Boys and the more southern based leader of the Mungo McCallum appreciation society is superficially amusing, I doubt (a) that either will ever change each others minds and (b) I question whether it is relevant to a Racing based forum entitled "Perth Turf Talk". There are plenty of outlets available for a political dissection of whether it is "Dictator Dan" or "Dans The Man" or whether it is "Magoo McGowan" or "Mark for PM".

In a perverse sort of way, I am actually glad a case appeared in WA and if nothing else, the 5 day lock down has shaken the lackadaisical and over confident complacency that had developed after such a long period of normality in WA. Only one thing is certain.....this very dangerous virus is not going to disappear and the wake up call on social distancing, personal hygiene and mask wearing (along with ongoing reviews of how Hotel Quarantine is handled) has reignited community awareness....and in my view, that is a good thing. And again, from my perspective living in a very conservative country town where distrust in politicians is almost genetically programmed, the response from one and all, despite outward grumbling, has been magnificent.

Our politicians are taking steps, reviewing policies blah blah on the back of this one only quarantine case. That shouldn’t let them off the hook.
A lot of the finger pointing particularly from the east aimed at McGoo and his hangers on is that we have had the luxury of witnessing the quarantine mistakes made over east and we have done nothing locally to address potential issues here. Ie guards not wearing masks, guards having two jobs, no cctv to investigate protocol break down.
McGoo has been reactive on this not proactive. Our leaders need to do better.

How is Alan Jones commentary going on the American election, he has no credibility left just a shite stirrer
How it going for you, 0ne community transfered case in 10 months go compare that to many countries particularly in Europe. some countries with a population slightly bigger than WA getting 1500 cases per day with 100 deaths per day

and the only criticism in the east is from SKY, is shortchanging the efforts put in from other murdoch rags, like the herald sun, and the austalian, that has given up any pretence of objectiveness.

to the chagrin of some that were highly regarded and can not stomach what has happened to the paper they gave their working life to, and to people supposedly 'lefty' like me that would buy it because it was once a quality publication

Why not? It's affecting local racing and TABs are closed, so, IMO, is a relevant discussion.

Latest news puts paid to the "more contagious strain" myth.

Professor Adrian Esterman from the University of South Australia told 6PR’s Gareth Parker the reason might be that Case 903 was one of those people who was not very infectious.

He said in general, a very small group of people was responsible for the majority of infections and scientists did not yet know whether the cause of the ‘super-spreader phenomenon’ lay in the behaviour or the health of individuals.

Mcgowen claiming the lockdown is responsible for the 0 cases in the last 4 days at today’s press conference is laughable, unfortunately not one journalist there has called him out on it.

The moment this guy was put into hotel quarantine he had either passed it on to someone or he hadn’t, the fact he hadn’t had nothing to do with locking down everyone else.  If he had spread it around then that’s when lockdown would have been doing something but reality is we could have continued on as is apart from locking this bloke and his close contacts down and we would be in the exact same situation as we are in now COVID wise.

Unlike Carey, who has adopted the doctrine of Papal infallibility, I will admit my errors.

I incorrectly stated that Tim Wilson was the member for Kew, He is in fact the Federal member for Goldstein.

Carey  was  actually referring to Tim Smith who is the member for Kew . Therefore my comments about Carey "having issues with the gay community" were out of line, and I apologise.

The lockdown isn't responsible for the 0 cases this far, I agree with that statement. The "journalists" are trying so hard to try and catch these guys out with stupid questions like "women are being requested to wear a mask for child birth, can you comment on that"?. I mean please, this is a classic example of the journalism these days.

But the lockdown has been necessary. The 12 day tests will be interesting late next week and hopefully they are all zero. And if they are all zero, there will be the cry of lockdown not necessary etc etc. This is all great in hindsight. What if it's 100? 1000? The Gov has continued to proclaim a cautious approach, which this lockdown is. There may be 0 next week. There may be 100. What ever it is, it would be a damn sight lower because of this 5 day restriction.

McGowan is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. I'd say let the expert advisers do their job and the Premier make the tough decisions based on this. Really, the level of complaining and disdain for the Gov is getting tiring.
