Cordero knocked out of the race at the 600m by driver shifting off the pegs and locking wheels.

Today at Pinjarra Cams Boulder knocked out of the race by driver shifting off the pegs and locking wheels at the bell.

This situation is repeated far too often and must be becoming a turn off factor for betting in WA.

Yes, agree, if your a regular driver you wont get suspended so there isnt any fear of any penalty. So you can knock your danger off its feet and nearly ever time it goes down as a racing incident.

Bit like horses hitting stirrups and over racing.
    Only happens in WA.
    Stewards very lazy.

Stewards questioned Drivers Dean Miller (CAMS BOULDER) and Chris Voak (CLASSIC CHOICE NZ) as to the reason CAMS BOULDER broke gait shortly after leaving the winning post on the final occasion.  It was established that CLASSIC CHOICE NZ was commencing to shift off the pegs in an endeavour to obtain a clear run and in so doing contacted the nearside sulky wheel of SAGATIOUS (Madeleine Young) and paced roughly, with CAMS BOULDER racing tight to its outside, CAMS BOULDER became unbalanced and broke gait in the incident. Driver Chris Voak was fined $100 under R168(1)(a) for driving in a careless manner when shifting ground.

So you can knock a horse out of the race and get fined $100.

The Northam race no penalty at all for Kyle Harper when Chris Lewis partially blamed his horse.
