Enjoyed the Collv Ess game - thought it was a great game - alot of pressure - sensational last qtr and finish

The Frem v Rich game - 7 goals each was one of the worst games ive ever seen - a top team on that night would have flogged either of them - i mean Soldo - sought of filling in for Lynch - nearly had a fresh air shot with 1 kick and slow and useless - he would be lucky to get a game in the old Sunday league for Wanneroo

Unfortunate about Fyfee - but dumb coaching - if Malcolm Blight had been coaching the Dockers - well in the 2nd qtr when Serong wheeled out of the centre - and with great skill on the the left - a perfect 50 metre drop punts - Fyfe charges out and marks and goals . Rich had no match up for Fyffe - he was too good for Grimes/Broad/Vaustin . Blight would have left him at FF - for the whole game - he will kick 5-6 for us and we will cruise home

Why let him go back on the ball - he gave structure to their forwardline and made it dangerous

Optus Stadium surface definitely needs looking at.
Rain and 3 days usage in a row doesn’t help for sure. But every year certain parts of the ground becomes an ice skating rink.
I remember 2 years ago when they played the dream time game there,Tigers and Bombers players were slipping everywhere. :-q

Essendon allowing the Collingwood player that kicked it to Elliot to get out the back from the kick in was disgraceful.

Melbourne have now lost 5 of last 8.
If they lose this week they will struggle to finish top 4 with their run home.
Do posters on here still think they are foxing ??

Not sure what Friday night is going to throw up. Players will be slipping and sliding everywhere.
8 to 15mm of rain forecast.
Going away and bonding/returning to their great triumphs of last year might be the thing Melbourne need to find their mojo.
Going to be tough for the “Dickers”. At least Andrew Brayshaw should be well rested after spending half the night at the interchange gate…..ouch !!!X_X

This could be a disaster tomorrow night.
If one of the big names from either side, (particularly Melbourne) suffer an injury from a dodgy surface there will be an uproar from the AFL media.

Are you guys serious about the stadium??

Its the same for both teams its known to be slippery,
Its known to be raining tomorrow.
Its been known for about 2 weeks

Just adjust to it.....Not that fkn difficult

I don’t have a problem with it Rio.
If anything it will help Freo imo.
However there is a point where it becomes sub standard and players get injured, that is what the concern is.

Make no mistake. The AFL will be watching this game very closely because of the surface.
A Dockers player during the week called the surface “an absolute disgrace”.
Friday night football should be all about showcasing our great game in all its glory.
This game will be like watching “Torvill and Dean” :-B

Thats why the bet of the weekend is a same game multi. Dockers are no good in the wet and melbournes midfield bulls will dominate.

    Melbourne -4.5 points
    Game total under 142.5 points
Clarry Oliver to have 30 touches
    $4.80 boosted

Cmon Eagles fans. Get to Optus on Sunday and farewell our “premiership” champion full forward.
Been an absolute legend for our club.
I am calling the Judd trade a “draw”as to who got the better deal.
Big boots to fill Oscar. Can’t wait to see him back next year. Fingers crossed he takes the next step.

The Eagles WAFL team did beat the Colliewobbles in Melbourne earlier in the year didn’t they ??? Just sayin. :-B

They sure did Detto, Freo beat Richmond early 2017 as well, Richmond supporters crying after the game, if only they knew what was to come.
  • detonatordetonator    4,360 posts
Still reckon Melbourne in September will be hard to beat. Pies celebration was like they won the flag.
Will be a cracking finals series. If Richmond can get fully fit and firing and finish in the 8 then we are in for a belter.
