Has announced his retirement after his last ride on Saturday.
Win ride an absolute special for Peter Moody. Never got a real feel for Bossy. I liked him one day and then thought you absolute knob the next.
90 Group 1 winners says the boy could ride though.
@detonator. His last ride is better than bank interest you say.  Jump on, at least we know he will be trying
:D

PC/---Appreciate the effort---After Bossy won his first Melb.Cup the next three years wasn't a better rider with  28 group 1.winners as freelance jockey in the world.

Self Belief  was his greatest asset A in form G.Boss  he thrived  on pressure. like no other.

Would like to see the ride on a horse called Mutate  Melb Cup Day 2004 race 3 same day. Makybe Diva was the Fav for her 2nd Cup .Always remember  he drove Mutate like wedge between two horses he made a gap.thought his crazy.

Ten years early 94 he rode a horse called Paris Brunch at Kalgoorlie  he had only won one group 1  till then thanks for the proof P.C. Was in the mounting along side the trainer R.Saw he said would like you to use  the left---Boss replied Mate I can't use  the left. stand corrected never ever notice him use the whip in the left-hand

But the time has come read he has chalked up 73 losing rides on the bounce?----

Hope he goes out  a Winner with the duck waddle to boot.

Wouldn't know at all but i reckon he felt he was declining and demand was also slow, great career he will find a niche in racing post retirement if he chooses to do so.

Just watched a rather cool/touching video of Bossy and Ollie at his little post race celebration speech.Nice moments shared and spoken between two star jocks, nearly lifelong mates too since their early days.
