Racenet  lovely pen pushers Ritchie (call and collect--''Chris Waller articles'' ). Bruce Clarke (can't wait for '''D.  Weir to return  articles'''.)-They cause a uproar in the comments section.

Only thing that Racent provided which  was very valuable .

Page dedicated to  STABLE CHANGES--- Horses having its first start for new trainer in any race meeting around  Australia. in the following week

                                           EXAMPLE
    ---HORSE ----VENEUES-------RACE-------NO-----NEW TRAINER------OLD  TRAINER.

    CHASER-------KALG------------ 6      ------   7--------ROD BROWN------GRAEME BALLANTYNE

Which gave you a kick start prior to fixed odds going up---with alot times horses were flying for new trainer at trials --with terrible previous form which contributed  to way overs on opening price.-----And you could factor in going to alot better trainer .etc.

By the way anything happened down Warrnambool Way---?

Mark Ohlmus is a ripper who at least gives WA it's due in terms of knowledge. He also often works extensive hours & carries a lot of international info to the punter. He is even in his tone & delivery & frequently carries personal anecdotes that gives a closeness to his coverage.
Ring Sky & ask for him to burst into song to entertain you between wagers BL....I hear he has a singing voice similar to Engelbert Humperdinck

Iv'e finally worked out who Sky racing presenter Tim Forsythe sounds like. The dog on Scoobydo.

Lady presenter last Saturday on Sky 2,. Don't know her name, but she is excellent. Pleasant voice, no stuffing around, and runs it very well.

As Tony said Tony Brassel is going to racenet, .
Now i have been using racenet for as long as i can remember, bloody long time.  Since Tony has joined them , the whole web form has changed to a payment format   If you want to view any form after last 4 starts you have to join and pay for RacenetIQ.  Can access the speed map in free mode still but closing speed ect  ITS NOW a pay job.  Bloody joke , I am not overy impressed with his favourite tipping skills as it was on Sky. Anyways rant over

What I have found interesting, is that Brassel and Mark Guest probably can't tip a winner. Racenet trumpeted the fact, after day one of Guest's tipping,  get this, that  if you had coupled up his top 5 selections in the pick the last 6 winners in Melbourne, you would have won $580,000.

So outlay $78,000 and you win. But if you did that, you would have shared the dividend with the person who actually won it, so that brings it down to $290,000 then get another two or three following Guest's tips, and you lose on the bet.

Since then, I check every Monday, and not a word about how many winners Brassel has tipped or Guest or any of the other so called experts have tipped. Obviously, they haven't tipped too well, because there has been no shouting from the rooftops at all from Racenet. And they want us to pay for the tips and extra stories, some of which appear in the Herald Sun and Daily Telegraph anyway.

My mate who watches Sky told me, that they had Stuart Davidson, an ex Sydney bookie, and David Gately tipping on Saturday. When they both declare the same horse, they call it a "great minds" tip. They tipped 5 short price favourites together on Saturday, 'great minds", and not one of them won.

fair dinkum, does anybody really take any notice of those tipster guys on ch79..or any form of media for that matter?
if they bet on their tips they would be driving a 1990 corolla and living in rental accomodation in a dodgey suburb.

Ch79? Do you mean Sky's main broadcast channel Falc?

To answer your question I pay attention to them but they just tip the fav 28 times out of 30 Gately especially and Brassel used to be the same..also if you haven't usually decided by then you probably shouldn't be betting on the race(we all do however have a mug bet in us lol)

That Brad Davidson fella did steer me off one Pikey was riding recently in Sydney, reporting that it paraded poorly so there is some useful info occasionally, I jumped ship to the winner Stockman.

Speaking of mug bets my mate I pub with on Saturdays bets all gallops meetings having around $5 win bets on each one true story :D and I mean all meetings Coonamble crabs, Dubbo draughthorses, NZ meetings etc etc..he is not selective at all.
Doesnt lose his shirt due to the stake size and does arse a couple here and there but it's a different approach.
Sees it as his day of "fun" after working all week, rarely if ever backs a fav..and doesn't drink alcohol.

Unfortunately the racing coverage and AFL coverage have both followed the same path - far better off watching both with the volume off! I’m not kidding ether, give it a go and you will never go back.

There are some horrible presenters on SKY. Some of them have such a poor grasp of the English language, some just love the sound of their own voice. Too often the volume is reduced so you don't have to listen.
The male on at the moment (5.10WST) needs to be taken off air.

Accountability and race tipsters do not go together. They will send you broke with their incredible lack of skills. Gambling might be a mugs game, but following tipsters is moronic.

I ran numbers on here a few years ago of tipsters on radio and the results that followed. It was appalling. Better results could have been achieved with throwing darts at a form guide.
