The above is formatted like a dog's breakfast clearly, i was having great trouble trying to edit or delete it and now i just cbf lol.

Zaaki drawn the outside, I'm Thunderstruck the inside neither draw is ideal the latter may be far worse as at least Zaaki will roll forward.
Inspirational Girl has drawn well, she does rise 4 kilos on the last meeting against a fitter Zaaki.
Should be a great race looking forward to it.
How does Lunar Fox get a gig...

The way the emergencies are brought in is from prize money only which is how Lunar Fox gets in.  When they literally have a wildcard element it’s crazy that’s not how the emergencies are included as well.  Take out Lunar Fox and Streets of Avalon and add Kissonallforcheeks and Flying Mascot and tell me it’s not a better race

Not a fan of the entire concept (I know it exists elsewhere and it isn't a VRC creation)
Still, they have ended up with a pretty decent field. I think Zaaki will be able to handle them.

Zaaki for me. Neesham sounded confident to me on radio today.

Yep, he breezes or even better gets the 1/1 and trailing what should be above average speed, then goes whooshka.
Decent judges(sometimes)are saying 3.50 is overs..

Dunno yet what's doing at Rosehill track conditions wise on the day(is a soft 7 now)but what an outstanding day's racing in the 2 states.

I think Jacquinot can give a big sight in the Slipper(perfect draw a middle barrier after scratchings)along with Coolongatta, they don't want heavy going for her I'm pretty sure.

There was quite a bit of rain overnight Tuesday into Wednesday morning Thunder. However it seems to have stayed along the coast. Today is a lovely drying day. I just had to pop up to the shop and came back looking for a towel and a glass of water. Won't get to Good but it might improve from here...in saying that the meeting will probably be run in constant drizzle. I reckon being a weather forecaster is harder than being a punter.

    True that mate.
I guess just as long as it's mid range soft would be good..rain during a meeting Is always problematic and Rosehill isn't as good as Randwick in a number of ways imo.

Track managr his morning said that yesterday's rain resulted in the track now being heavy 8. With good weather today and hopefully tomorrow said he expected improvement but did not hazard a guess as to what it will be on Saturday,

This is the view from my office towards where the rain is supposedly coming from today. All looks like very high cloud to me so I'm not concerned by it. I've watched some wicked storms roll across from this vantage point and this looks nothing like those.

Have La Vina going around in the last on the day. Each way chance, should get to $16 in an open race

Zaaki is into 2.90 at a fair few of the corps, the much maligned Tabtouch is 2 bob better at 3.10

Heavy 9 Rosehill :( f me does it EVER not rain over there..

La Vina scratched, ironically no rain in Melbourne so track apparently won't suit. Should be in Sydney!

Controversial opinion this but i feel is an accurate comparison :

Craig Williams is a dead ringer for one of those dolls ventriloquists use like chucky etc... :))

Fence seems alright at Rosehill atm.3rd placegetter in the staying race was planted the trip yet kicked past Zeyrek(who didn't stay), the previous 2 winners went on to win after inside runs also.

Zero form knowledge watching the Slipper, so someone set me right. Fireburn belts them, brains them actually after getting the worst of the backwash from a big midfield shuffle up, might have started from somewhere up the front. Anyway, more checks off heels and grabbing hold than the norm (or maybe not in a Slipper). So, is Fireburn just so much better than the rest or are the rest not that good because it had no right to win that race or to win it with the ease that it did. The going was rated as a "heavy 9", didn't seem to be any turf flying? Avdulla must have been thinking it was all over but coming up the inside worked out for him.
  • ThunderstruckThunderstruck    7,696 posts
I think the inside was at least far maybe even advantageous JJ how? Idk lol
But I reckon these Slipper races you can run the race ten times maybe you don't get 10 different results but at least 5.
The fav was 2 months fresh into it as they were dodging wet tracks..failed to get something better she ran a good 3rd.
I think she is maybe the best horse in that field but next prep we shall see.

Fireburn ticked a lot of boxes for me so I backed her (for myself and my punter's club where I now have legendary status). I had her mapped to get a comfortable inside run and unleash her turn of foot - but that was just next level. It's lucky my bets were mad online or at the 800m mark I would have been tearing the tickets up.
