New digital platform to boost WA thoroughbred racing Good morning, A new and improved digital destination for WA thoroughbred racing is now available, called Racing WA. The platform will replace the old Customer Racing Information System (CRIS) as the place to go for race fields, results and form on the Racing and Wagering Western Australia website.   It provides a better presentation of racing data, improved usability and brings all the excitement of WA thoroughbred racing together in one place. The platform is vital to promoting WA racing nationally and internationally, by providing highly consumable racing data and content with the aim of making the WA racing product more competitive in the domestic and international wagering market, and ultimately maximise returns for WA racing participants. The new platform has been developed with direct input and testing by current CRIS users to ensure it offers a valuable service to racing participants. The feedback has been excellent and we’re pleased with the enhanced, more consistent user experience. We will continue to add new features and functionalities to the platform over the next 12 to 18 months, including integration of content, inclusion of jockey silks and replays from further camera angles. Racing WA’s thoroughbred racing hub marks the completion of the platform’s first stage, with the website set to become a one-stop-shop for WA’s three racing codes in the future – covering thoroughbred, harness and greyhound racing content and information. CRIS will remain open until later in 2022 to allow for a smooth transition to Racing WA. With trainers numbers like Lindsay Smith has  117 horses on his books which includes his w.a horses and his vic. horses. Do they intend putting his  w,a, list of horses up &  all   other trainers horses names that are on their books.

Pre trainers list of horses---- Think  there was  a rule   trainers must receive  horse one month prior to racing. from pre-trainers.

As is have to look elsewhere for numbers & names in each stable.

I assume mostly just platform update.

With Adam Durrant trialling over 50 horses this week over 40 last week, 13 runners today, and the randoms in between, he must have a 100 horse barn on his property to care for all these horses

when you think of durrant currently attending to, lets say, 80 horses. the logistics are huge, each horse has to be worked (some on the track, some on the beach), after work they must be hosed and given a bit of a brush. these same horses must be fed and watered at specific hours. boxes have to be mucked. any medicines must be given..the list goes on and on....

how many staff do you think he must have? i reckon 20 at least.

But as I often see now,all these stables regularly advertising for staff,surely he must be in the same boat a staff shortage, so how does he manage so many horses if he is in the same siduation as other trainers,staff shortage.

Some bosses that look after there team may not have the  same problems. Trackwork riders are the most important person if they can ride to time. and hold them without no surprises or peeking whats under the bonnet

.The longer they take to come up the longer they stay up. Early ripe Early rotten theses sayings still ring true today---only difference the amount of trainers that can go deep into a preparation.has decreased.

Staff shortage  is due to alot  trainers playing it as numbers game, having  20-40 in work and there operation can only run smooth with 10;--20 moving them around like a game of chess is how they enjoy quite comfortable.existance

Remember years ago old trainer going off his head when a rider just flew around a lap. The trainer was screaming out this is a art   how to gradually increase fitness levels.probably have to spell it and start its prep. again.
