Favourite obviously hard to beat but I am keen on Hoo Ya Mal. Never unplaced fresh. Should handle rain affected. Ryan Moore dropped his whip when could have won at Goodwood. Runner Up in an English Derby. Weight suitable. Jockey a big plus. Trainer has good cup form. Each Way all day at the odds.

Others that interest me include Realm of Flowers & Stockman. My three roughies are Numerian, Serpentine & Tralee Rose which is a great chance at odds

Unsure why Buick is in Oz for Without A Fight. Best runs are in 3, 4 and 6 horse fields. I don't think it is suited to large field and not for mine. Having said that you know what might happen :-B

Where can we look at the replays of recent runs from the overseas horses Slip ?????
I fancy Without A Fight but would like to view some runs of his.

i'l tell you why Buick is in oz....free flights, top accomodation (he wouldn't be in a back packers) and the chance to be part of the greatest racing carnival in the world.... :-B

    Racingtv.com

Nominate date of race then pick meeting and race and press play or easier still put horse name in search and past races appear and select to view race

Francesca Cumani..... Surprise here to me wasn't her selection (which can't be ignored) but I didn't know she has replaced Oli Bell with a triathlete male interest and now father of her second child.

Daily Mirror reports... Glamorous racing pundit Francesca Cumani, 39, was backing the favourite but has now changed to Montefilia, with Without A Fight coming second, and Deauville Legend third.

The internationally regarded racing commentator helped launch the Channel 10 marquee at Flemington Racecourse on Thursday.

Cumani, who also presents for ITV Racing in the UK, is back to jet-setting after she welcomed her second child Teddy George in June -  her first child with boyfriend Max Johnson.

'Deauville Legend is only a three-year-old in the northern hemisphere and while history tells you they have a good record in the Cup – think Rekindling and Cross Counter – he is carrying the best part of 4kg more than those winners,' she wrote for The Australian.

'The best chance among them has to be Montefilia. She is a four-time winner at the highest level and finished like a train when a luckless fourth in the Caulfield Cup

Buick had an ordinary day Saturday can Tuesday be better?

I thing Craig Williams can have a good day even his roughies are chances especially Teewaters in race 2

I reckon the likely winner failed its vet check the other day, Loft.
Anyway i can't be backing the fave at the ridiculously short quote..it wins and I lose unless my quin or trifecta horses lob around it.

I am on 2 others at 100s or better, one e.w with place bets too at $26 and had more on at $18 a while back.
Smokin Romans is one of them..J Kah is due a big race and this horse reminds me of Floating Artist only better and he ran a cracker behind the top 3.last year(who all would arguably beat this lot too). That said the race looks fairly open tbh with distance queries on a fair few including maybe Smokin Romans the track will likely be ok but genuinely soft.Have looked around the one you like @Slip being Hoo Ya Mal, must do some research on it at least for the novelties.

Also I had a decent look at Stockman because he likes the wet and keeps improving but he was well beaten in the Sydney Cup with 51 and has 3 kgs more now..these things aren't of concern?

Anyway good luck all.I will have some final bets upon knowing the exact state of the track.

Already typically a novel from me but here's some final food for thought and a hint on one more i must have something on(arguably other peeps should too)
IF someone had said to you at the start of the carnival Micheal Dee will ride the Caulfield Cup, Derby and Melb. cup winners this spring you would have laughed your ass of at such a suggestion..but now not so much ;)
If Realm Of Flowers has a chance so does his mare who is also a fair way down in the weights and a wet track no issue at all

Valid points Thunder but Sydney race wasn't the target. Sydney Saturday and Melbourne Cup Tuesday is certainly adventurous. I give it a good chance but wouldn't back with massive confidence.

Ciaron Maher does too actually, the horse hasn't grabbed me so far but they reckon it will definitely stay.
On Racing.com there is an article where Maher/Eustace rate all their 5 starters chances.

I’m with Realm of Flowers. Metrop run was massive. Postage stamp on its back.
Sense of timing with this horse. Freedman’s confident. Handles the wet.
Jump out was sweet. Looked a commanding piece of work to the naked eye.
Price suggests it is in it up to its eyeballs.

I reckon you liked her in the Sydney Cup last year too Det? Or maybe it was Bomber could be wrong..i backed her that day too iirc.
That Gemba model Racing.com promote have her on top, last year their top 3 pick the great mare VE won.
The model likes all mares for whatever reasons with Montefilia and Lunar Flare the top 3..fav came in 4th or 5th best I think but rated as big unders at the now even skinnier 3.50.

    Royal Nepan Is a scratching.

I actually have 2 blackbookers running in the first 2 races at Flemington Tuesday, nothing like a punt bright and early whilst maybe cooking some bacon and eggs haha.
Zulfiqar R1 and White Marlin in the second, both definitely look great chances.

Every year I reckon I have the winner and every year I come up short.
But as I am a “victim of the punt”……I go hard !!!

yep....wouldn't say it convinced me but I feel he will run out the trip IF he settles.....Buick should be a plus but barrier a worry....
    cheers for the info mate

Not sure if I'm seeing things but Flemington has come up a soft 5 atm..that's a good thing, though there was talk of rain during the day..

Lunar Flare has been scratched there goes Dee's chance of a big double spring.
I've had one bonus bet on Realm Of Flowers(sorry to her fans)may have more and warming to Montefilia so will probably back her and have some more bucks on Smokin Romans.

Cheering.and punting on Lindsey's promising stayer in the Oaks Queen Air, looks a filly wanting this trip.
Note it's a good 4 surface today, f me their weather is rich in Mexico... :P
