Placid Ark/Champion Fillies/Peters/Colonel Reeves Stakes day.

West Australian Racing
Firstly I wanted to give kudos to all involved in getting the final field for the Placid Ark out early Monday afternoon and the Tabtouch market back up and running quickly. Gives plenty of time for discussion, I know ive already had multiple conversations about the race although mostly about mates jinxing Baby Paris via the overs gods.

Personally I've marked Wild Belle around $4.30 fave in a 100% market, I feel like Chris can jump and use Revit Up and Rumour Says to track over into the race, go early and give them all something to run down.

I thought I'd probably land on My Bella Mae EW but the market liked her even more than I did. I think she is the one that will love what is likely to be a cracking tempo.

I love Bably Paris but I really think Street Parade and Just go directly inside her make it nearly impossible. Does she work early to get in front of them and still be every chance of getting caught 3 and 4 wide or does she go back and then be likely to have to go 8 wide on straightening?

I've got big question marks on All Show at 1200m, conversely I think Kosta's Crown and Invincible Ruby are real chances of boosting the first four.

Cracking days racing, gets said a lot but how is the Champion Fillies only a group 3 race??

All the WEIGHTS are out and full fields in MOST of the races. Great day to be on course this week but who is going to be there ? Hoping they get the crowds they deserve on a great days racing

Couple of early thoughts in the race you mentioned Gilga..looks very open I don't like a couple of the shorter priced ones that much.

Baby Paris must go back imo, hope for insane speed and try and be good enough to run them down if so..possible but not at all easy..I think she is pretty smart so is a winning chance still.
I'm also a knock or query on All Show having her first try at 1200.
Actually same same Wild Belle for me won well I just question the opposition a little and the rail out 10m probably helped with her leading and kicking on to win..will not get it easy in this field with at least decent pressure(Ponty won't die wondering on Street Parade)and another 100m to run.

Of my two fancies one is similar to you, I guess the price for Bella Mae is a bit short due to it mapping well and the good win last week running under 1.10..she should get run of the race but won't be the only one.
How about Prawns Eleven who ran a cracking 2nd behind her last weekend, missed the kick 3L and also found a little traffic up the short straight.
IF he jumps better can be midfield or a pair better and stalking the speed too..is currently 13 bucks in Tabtouch's market.
    *and $16 at Ladbrokes!

Has anyone found a Scottish gnome hiding in their garden? It appears RWWA has lost one and are trying to find it. Give them a call if you stub your toe on one. Accidentally of course

I feel that Prawns Eleven might need that ultimate gear change, and could be a risk on Saturday. His mind may be on the fillies more than the job at hand and seems a little too green at this stage as well. He obviously goes real good but wouldn't want to do too much wrong in that field.

Agree 100% with Gilgamesh on the fields- what a ripper day of racing it promises to be!

Yeh risky, maybe the winkers do the trick.Reckon I'll be backing a couple in the race but just think he is worth a punt.

Hey Gilgamesh I thought you were a pacing tipping expert  and yet not only are you now making comments on racing but you are creating and leading the thread.  =D>

Harness will always be my true love slip but days of me having any real clue on the form are a thing of the distant past, I dip my hat to anyone that can show the dedication to be a true form student of the game here but I find the effort required to be something equivalent
to a full time job watching paint dry.
