Club man all the way through...Bit like JK and Hurn i reckon, he'll be there to do whatever he can to help the club....For as long as the club wants him to be there.

    Is Mcgovern still on $1.2M

If he is, he should be in begging for a 70% reduction!!!! haha  that is way overs.

I dont love nic nat like Deto does, but he is heart and soul a club man..Like the Hurns, Worsfold, Mckenna, Jakovich, Cox, Brennan. JK, Priddis, etc, etc... And carries more than his #1 ruck position when he walks - or these days limps slowly - on to the field.

Every club generally has 3 or 4 in a team at anyone time.....if they want to be successful..I dont think McPuddin is in that group if he is taking that much out of the kitty!!!

Can’t believe Eagles are $2.00 head to head against Kangaroos.
    Must be a misprint.
Stealing money at that price. Come game day Eagles will be $1.65.

You will get a shock when you see Cam Guthrie walzing past De Goey

Cam has no longer got the Leo the Lion look - more like 1960s National Service look

Well lets hope that the Roos end up in the top 4....Or my much loved Weagles are in for a lot of pain!!!!

Wasn't able to watch it, but the bit i heard on radio sounded riddled with mistakes and several easy goals to The Roos over the back of packs!!!

Headline in The Waste of Times tomorrow... "Eagles in the 8 for first time in 2 seasons" hahaha

And i see that you guys had a good start too mate.

Whats the expectations for this year?? I've had stuff on and havent got up to date with all the normal chatter...

I see Alistair Clarkson in his press conference said North had to make some tough decisions.
Over to you Simmo. Make some easy decisions like phuck Gaff and Jameson off.
We were pathetic today. At times today our non existent defensive pressure was hard to watch.

    Gunna be a long season……again.

I thought they showed some resilience to fight back Deto but not sure that either team will be topeight contenders.

Rio, pies look like they have had a great pre season and very fit, should be up there again this year.  [-O<

Deto, i was going to ask you last month what your team has done over the break but apart from a few new kids that went ok nothing has changed. After last year they needed a good clean out and did nothing, one reject player in from Melbourne and thats all i could see.
The after match report from mumbles was even worse than last years efforts, surely he wont see the year out.

I got a feeling you could be right OH, in relation to Simo. I’ve always liked him but his after match press was worse than the teams second quarter no show!!

Apart from Old Hendo, Skids and Rooboy, the rest of us will wait until next week and pretend it’s the first round of the season!!!

I’m not too concerned with losing with 8 players who didn’t play an AFL game between them last year. I’m more concerned about some of the players who played last year still being in the team!!!

    Haha. Footy is back !!!!
Just heard the Freo score. WTF. That one would sting more than us losing to the wooden spooners.
Can’t wait to see RTB’s press conference to measure the level of smugness. Reckon it might be off the Richter scale.
Reckon your right Old Hindrance. Simmo will be lucky to survive based on that s***.
Gaff can’t play next week on the fast deck at Optus. I was defending him all last year saying he had an injury. I was right though because he has atthritis in both legs. Haha
The Hawthorn result….WTF. Were the Hawks that bad or have Essendon learnt how to stop leaking goals ?
Were Freo bad or Saints any good ???? Was Luke Jackson any good. How about “brand Fyfe” now that he has the captaincy shackles off him.
    Bring on round 2….redemption round.

Saints very good, RTB rubbing his hands together to get a fit side.
Freo very rusty but I reckon coach was even worse, he got a lesson.
Got belted in the middle and forward line was a mess.

Our tall forwards were a disgrace and midfield was below what we expect.

That was very disappointing Dockers really needed that win first up am starting to think Longmuir is great defensive coach not so good on attacking they looked clueless kicking into forward line.
That has been the big thing with Craig McRae has turned Collingwood into a great attacking side can always find a goal something the Dockers often struggle with maybe Brad Scott is going the same way at Essendon but Hawthorn no yardstick will see.

  • detonatordetonator    4,376 posts
RTB involved in another game where both combined team goals was under 20.
    Old habits die hard. Haha
Is the “brand Fyfe” going forward experiment dead after one match ?
    =))

Saints very good?? That’s hilarious, any decent team absolutely open them up. They conceded 65 inside 50’s to a team that fundamentally went sideways.

Considering they had half their side out and still won,,, they were very good.

Homer has got a job in the Mogadon manufacturing plant next financial year after he is sacked by the hierarchy of the most bored side to ever grace a football field  .....only issue is whether the production line falls asleep after listening to him.
