Golden Nugget night

Harness & Greyhounds
Has always been my favourite race so I thought I'd kick it off.

Lavra Joe to lead and win the nugget. I've had something on Machnifocent at the big odds as well if it's run upside down.

In the Stand I think Trooping Of The Colour can track Aussie Scooter throughout and be dangerous at 20/1.

R7 I thought Handsandwheels might be able to return to form. They might go Indian file and then Glenledi Chief pops off, DeCampo can follow him or stick to the pegs. Just feel like with 300m to go he's going to look like having something to give.

Good luck all.

Golden State has a good record off the arm over 2500 @ GP...very fast & although first up may cross & either hold or allow Hampton Banner to cross him then play for luck. Either way he is likely to be overs.
Robbie Rocket is also due a bit of racing luck to be close enough where he can use his point to point sprint effectively.
Euphoric Moment & Trois Fontaine drop a bit in overall class @Albany.
You can't eat value but I am on a diet anyway so no problem rolling the dice out of interest tonite.

Unfortunately Markovina is not with us at present to give his spin on the Nugget. Drving tactics on Pinny Tiger destroyed any chance it had plus the chances of the top three in the market.

The winner was last with a 1000m to go.
Dylan Egerton Green has been making a habit over the last couple of years in big races.. patiently outfoxing the followers of the  pre race script when things start to go pear shaped in running.

The good thing about Group races,Prestigious races or races worth a bit of money is that everyone is in it for Himself, sorry themselves and devise their own plan how to drive  their own particular horse the way, which they think can enable them to win.
No one is content, just to run second.
If two have the same plan, say to lead,  Well : Race On
Unfortunately it went peared shaped for T Wheeler but he was only driving one horse,
maybe if A C was happy to stay in the one /one things might have been different.
All in all a great, true run race, a race that no one was dictated too, by price, weight of money, twitter feeds, facebook or studio drivers putting their two bobs worth in on how the race should be run..

As Fred Kersley said the most exciting races are usually due to driver error.

No one is immune.....I remember a period where FRK & TBW were in a death grip on track for weeks....plenty of errors involved.

Graken Gold and Leetron was one of those gladiatorial contests. Both were unplaced.

Listening to One Out One Back today, thought, Russell Betts summation of the nugget,  along with Matt ,was excellent.
The explanation given regarding tactics and what had occured during the race was spot on and may have helped anyone listening who doesn,t study form, watch replays or know how to read a race and dissect it, understand why some horses went the way, they did.
    Well done Guys
