Saffers on the ropes again on a pitch that is doing less than the gabba.
I like their bowling line up, but can their batsmen compete?

Nice to see much maligned Davey Warner notch a big hundred under pressure and in a his milestone 100th test.Idk if there has been a lot of noise from people with expertise in the media or just social media nuffies but a sweet stuff you was likely muttered today I bet.

Rafa picks his arsenal and scratches his nose . How many times does D.Warner undo then do up those gloves during an innings. Especially an innings of 200. Certainly answers the knockers well done

So they had Carey plod his way through for a century.. Well done, and a great achievement. But looked like a 3 piece suit man going for lunch with his office buddies

However during his innings they showed a clip of Rodney Marsh getting his 100....A real Cricketer, who looked like he'd just put up a wire fence in 40 degrees heat. Shirt hanging out, not buttoned up, baggy green cap, no fkn arm guards, helmets or much else... AND ready to knock down a 6 pack as soon as he can.

No wonder i dont watch this modern 5hit anymore!!!!!

However Mitch Starc restores my faith a bit....Scruffy fast bowler, smashing the stuffing out of the ball at every opportunity.

Still wont keep watching though.....And then interview his wife and chlld!?!?!?!?!?!?! WTF

Rio, yes you're right, slagging a sport is discussion albeit a very low form of it.

I'll happily talk cricket. I thought Warner's innings was superb. The South Africans have a very good bowling attack. I think the list PC put up shows just how good Warner has been for a long period.

Speaking of that list, five of the top six on it all wore helmets, does that not make them 'real cricketers'??

Re Warner -you have to take the good with the bad -  Geoff Boycott gave an interesting observation - this was back in England in that Ashes series - where Warner kept failing

And Boycott ( on the radio coverage which i was listening to ) said - he actually felt sorry for Warner - had a bit of sympathy for him

He said if your an opening batsman and your in a test series - and you keep failing - a particular bowler keeps getting you out - then you cant do much about it - Boycott alluding to and in detail - Rodney Hogg giving him a very rough time in that series in Aust - and continually getting him out and very cheaply
