I read what the introduction bloke said

Sexual assault - that is very serious - so im not downplaying that part of it at all

However one thing that grates me with re todays society - how many times you see the word bullying used - you pick up a newspaper - its full of it - its on the news - TV - Internet - its everywhere - and in my opinion in some cases it is way over dramatised

And  i think if some of those people went in and visited some unfortunate children in a brain cancer ward - theyd come out and say - geez im a whinger - ive got a pair of legs a pair of arms - and my health - ive got a fair bit going for me

Bullying - bullying- bullying - im sick of hearing about it- get on with your life

    Absolutely WOW.
Do not mix up this enquiry with bullying. Bullying should never have ever been mentioned in this article.
Bullying in this article is trying to downplay what has really been going on in the racing industry for many years and is STILL GOING ON today in small parts

This inquiry has touched on not even .5 of a % of what's actually taken place in the racing industry.
#Go and sit with the couple of 15-year-old boys that were stable hands for Gerald Ryan and passing out coming home from the races and waking up with his dick in their **** in the stables.
Young boys doing their job trying to impress their first boss in life.

#The 5+ different Girls UNDER 15 at the time that were gang raped by up to 10 x 20-year-olds. And then complaining to the women they trusted and were the trainers' wives that said just go to bed and forget about it. Just make sure your there in the morning with a smile.

    # The initiations of kids under 15 having to do stuff with horses' anatomy that should never be mentioned.
And the worst part about this enquiry is that it was common knowledge to some high-ranking people that should have done the right thing and NEVER did.

Your bullying case you are stating in today's society is very off the mark. I'll grant you some leniency in this as I agree, some kids do scream the bullying card. But those kids are the ones that never got a smacked as a child and probably still don't know what sex they would like to identify at aged 21.
There still plenty of bullying cases going on today's world. And i hate how we use the word BULLYING to hide some very heinous crimes in today's world.

After reading the entire report, what it records are foul, vial acts of criminality, physical and sexual abuse perpetrated by adults against minors who had not a snowballs chance in hell of being listened to or protected.

This behaviour was known to be occurring (and accepted)  by people who should have acted and didn't, and who laughed it off as being just a long standing norm. Sure, ones teenage life is not complete until you have been urinated on late at night from the stewards tower.  Officials in charge of Racing were also aware and did nothing. The conditions in many stables were disgraceful, filthy rat infested dormitories where alcohol and drug abuse were rampant and the lack of care afforded to vulnerable young kids was non existen. It is as far away from "bullying" as you could possibly get.

I am sure things are much better these days but would you like your young 14 or 15 year old kid to come home and say I have found full time "live in" employment in a Racing stable?  What happened in the past was no different to the institutionalised abuse of young kids by religious institutions exposed by the Royal Commission and the perpetrators should be identified and charged.

Thanks G-Mac for posting the link, it is indeed very disturbing reading.

Well you obviously would have an entirely different view to me

And thanking someone so you could read that stuff - ive got not interest - zilch in reading that stuff - there are pleasurable things that i like to read

Why smear the whole racing industry  with it - and there were plenty of great stables for young  kids - eg Theo Green - a fatherly figure to many

This stuff happened 30-40-50 years ago - the ones who were abused - why dont they do what that lady did with Cable - sue him in a Civil Court where the level of proof is no where near as high - and try to get tangible asset compensation

But dont smear the whole racing industry with it and ive got no interest at all in reading it
