Drawn 14 of 14 tomorrow for the 1400M at Flemington with top weight and odds on.

Should she win in her usual style of racing, is she then unbackable for the Spring ?
+1 -1

Depends on what she contests there a few worthy group 1 combatants at a mile and beyond.
Trainer was quoted saying he isn't 100% sure on her best distance.
At this stage i don't have her pencilled in as beating the likes of Mr Brightside(to name one such opponent) based on her career performances to date.

Should still be winning tomorrow because they aren't a very strong bunch of opponents but there is no Espiona, Fangirl or Princess Grace of the better mares around running in that race either.

There's no loyalty, thought it was a pretty rough call, poor Claton Douglas left in the middle.trying to keep both parties happy, but then again some jockeys have no mercy and jump off,and leave owners and trainers in bad siduation, trying to find a suitable jockey, but what happens if JMac doesn't deliver the goods, also thought it wasn't the prettiest of rides, but didn't help missing the kick, but that was an exceptional win by Imperatrix.

Mr Brightside was AWESOME winning the Makybe I doubt AJ can beat him(though i don't think these two will clash)

Amelia's Jewel - impressive win in G2 Lets Elope Stakes. WA racing needs another star.

I hope she kills it but there is a lot of hype isn't there?
Lane reckons she powered down a gear when she hit the front yesty.
Next start will be the Stock stakes WFA at the Valley, probably not her preferred track but will be 2-1 on or shorter you would think..after that they will decide which route to take.

she has to have a look at the valley if the cox is right on her programme.

Yes thought run very strange won second up at 1400 then starts at 1700m with blinkers first time then up eyeballing the leader folded like a cheap kmart tent. Bob loves them back and late.

Got a multi story for you Falc, I was dirty about this as i only needed him to run a drum as the 4th and last leg of a multi.
So, Shinn pushes forward with intent and ends up breezing(and in the process sets the winner up in the prime 1/1 possie), with him going on assume he was left to his own devices with the ride? Unsure with Bob's.
Blinkers went on as well idk why really, he looked a bit keen in the run and gave up at the 300 when he couldn't pass the roughie leader and ends up beaten 6+ lengths.
Disappointing on face value I'd say but I didn't like where he was in the run that much.
Tatum Bull did much better last start imo..haha.

I must have "sixth sensed" something was up as I contemplated cashing in after weight was declared for my 3rd leg Kibou..of course i didn't(i had something on the winner so broke about even)and also no bonus bet of 50 back(which I didn't know Ladbrokes had stopped offering ffs)

Cox plate all the way baby. Shes the best horse in Australia. And the cox plate is hers to lose.

How is she the best horse in Australia? Talent wise she may be but she is yet to do it.....we hope she will.

I'm telling you now. She is the best horse in Australia. As I said after her win on Saturday to all my mates. The rest of Australia will know in 2 or 3 more runs over there that she is.

Big call Jum have u bet early?

Does look there for the taking though Romantic Warrior is a serious G1 2000m horse and whose to say Mr Brightside who looks to have improved can't be right in the mix.My smokey IF they go that way with him is Without A Fight. The Freedmans are moreso focused on the Caulfiled cup but if he goes super well in the Underwood and or the Turnbull he might have a crack.

I will say I have had a vision of AJ doing a Makybe Diva and circling them 8 or 9 deep but she will have to be good, the KT win doesn't necessarily say she will be elite at 2000m, she only beat Ironclad and Steinem.

Yeah, slip I have gone in hard early doors. Agree Romantic Warrior is a serious horse. I just think Amelia's is like all the really good mares we have had here in the past. She will keep improving every season. I know she only beat a moderate field in the KT but gee she was only 3.
Slight improvement and strength all over as she gets older and I think she will be one of our greats

I liked your post all except the part about calling me "slip" :))

Yeh mate I'm down for her excelling just not as bullish as you.
Set weights next Friday at the Valley I'd like to see her proper dominate them, after that I guess the Caulfield stakes on cup day will be her final Plate final lead up run.

Got around the Valley fine in her work this morning.
$1.50 all in up against a bunch of B graders.

The multis with Imperatriz will be many(please draw out rather than the fence).

Amelia's Jewell takes the track record (1600m) for Moonee Valley. An easy win in the G2 Stock Stakes. Surely a Cox Plate is the aim? Good for WA racing.
