Amelias Jewel officially heading to the Toorak 14th Oct Then depending on performance cox plate on 28th.? Option open Sydney Golden Eagle 4th Nov ?.

    Toorak Handicap then Cox Plate.

Did see a handy one return on Saturday that might also lay claim to Australia's best.

Anyone worked out what weight she will get in that?

Think About It I love him what a winner.

I've got 1 Jum that's likely going to rise up the ranks with a bullet(provided he keeps racing)Militarize.
Way to go yet and it's iffy as he may well go off to stud but he is special..and is also some chance of going to the CP too if the Guinea's goes to plan.

Yeah Thunder. One of my mates is all over him. Love him. There is plenty of Banter back and forth with me and him over Militarize and Steparty.
I'm a big Steparty fan also.

You cannot work out her weight for the Toorak until you know who is going there.

Depending on the rating of others could be anywhere from 55 to 57kg

You reckon Joe Pride wakes up before the alarm and springs out of bed each morning? Think About It and Private Eye in the barn. You'd enjoy your work.

I think the Golden Eagle will be the best option for Amelia's Jewel with the precursor being the weather. Wet track won't be to her liking and Sydney is capable of dishing up some inglorious weather.
Best of luck wherever she goes.

Quite interesting whether horse has a preference to lefthanded courses and struggles with righthanded racing. There's the % that are Ambidexrous Northerly never won going Sydney way then never won again .after racing there Humidor was another that couldn't win in Sydney. Mark Walker has stated that Imperatriz was settled in Melb & wasn't going to change anything only time shes be beaten in Aus. was racing in Sydney .previous campaign

I was told by someone who is very good mates of Walshy that She is going to the Golden Eagle.
But that was before Romantic warrior put in that performance.
I think both options are still on the table. And everything will depend on Saturdays run from her.
Ill tell you what though. Its two great options to have.

On a side note. Gold Trip put his hat in the ring as Australias best horse on the weekend.

He absolutely did mate, that win was super.

Another story today again suggests its more likely to be the Eagle, Miller sounds sort of iffy on the 2040m not in a big way just unsure and tbh I have a small query too.Especially if it was run on testing ground? Plus now idk if she could beat a primed Gold Trip either.

Golden Eagle a better option but today's run may be just a glitch in a campaign that many a good mare has bounced back from.

Latest from Walsh is that she will have an easy week this week and if the bloods show she is OK will be off to Sydney for the Golden Eagle.

i reckon she'd be on a nice slow road trip to sydney.

Yep all systems are go, Simon Miller would love to draw a good gate for once the barrier draw is tomorrow nite
  • ThunderstruckThunderstruck    7,696 posts
Drew a good gate at last, 5.
As did a couple of her main dangers like Hawaii Five Oh, Legarto.Dont know anything about the Japanese galloper but it probably warrants respect.
Kovalica drew 16, Attrition 19 and he is now $21.

if you were a rails bookie art randwick, what price would you assess for AJ.
bearing in mind its a 16 horse field and she has never raced clockwise?
    id' say @ 6-7/1

Still a bit of boom in the price I agree Falc.$4 the last time I looked.

Not a super strong field, ones like Kovalica probably aren't suited at 1500 and Rosehill.
Hawaii 5.0 will be far more forward back up in trip and that's what Lane must do with AJ sit maybe 1/1 or 1/2 and hopefully be very strong when she let's down.
