Lane's comment after the race was that he was lucky to be alive.

Geez she got hammered at the 300 and still she picked up and finished off.

Wouldn't have won with a clear run and though I admire his talent for Lane it was a poor ride

Watched as an interested spectator hoping for Amelia's Jewel to bounce back, but the interference put paid to any hope. I would have liked to seen her positioned on the outside in the run around the home turn, but those on the outside clearly accelerated harder when called on. I didn't think the pace was outrageous and that in itself is cause for concern going forward with an Eastern States career.

So does she go home and line up in the Ascot carnival where she will not meet anything of quality like the Japanese horse? He looks a genuine International Rockstar.

Falcon and Tony you disliked my post but did not bother to state why.

My apologies. It was a brilliant ride by Lane and should have won by 5 lengths.

how could you say it was a bad ride, the poor buggers (lane and aj) got poleaxed..lucky to stay on their feet.

Probably more she was in a terrible position on the corner. Although the jap come from her inside and got the splits.

If the interference had not occurred she had a clear run to the finish.

Was she going good enough though to win before the interference?

It was a bad ride because he showed no initiative in a $10million dollar race. And rode for luck
Which you can never do in big races, especially in Sydney.

Ground level view was a bad bump pushing her onto another, view from above i thought showed a very narrow gap to go for that closed rapidly.

I watched the whole race from the drone camera. There was a gap but AJ copped the interference and was knocked out of the race.
There was an opportunity around the 600m that Lane could have got to the outside albeit a split second decision. In hindsight if he had taken that opportunity AJ would have won for sure.

Is she nominated for the Railway / Northerly double this year ?

Is she nominated for the Railway / Northerly double this year ?

Was nominated for those races yes and The Gold Rush,
Doesnt matter now though. She is letting down for a bit over there. Then coming home to Amelia Park for a decent spell.

Is she definitely going back to Simon??

Im sure many have heard various rumours and noticed horses in those colours that would normally be with Simon now with other trainers.

I was thinking that she was starting to look like Marasco but he was a bit more competitive in the East. Time will tell how great she is. I certainly wouldn't mind owning her though!

why do people ask questions like is she going back to simon?
what has simon done wrong? the owner has been 100% involved in all decisions while she was over east in fact made some of the decisions.

I ask that question because the owner has moved all the rest of his horses away from Simon and other than the slot race there isnt really much here for her.

In terms of the horse simon has done zero wrong with her but my understanding is Mr Miller and Mr Walsh are not the partnership they once were.

It does sound like she is coming home by all reports.

Hopefully they work it all out and kind find some more good horses together.

Someone mentioned to me a couple of weeks ago about Paddy Carber, doesn't seem to he getting the cream rides with him,I thought wouldn't be true, but Chris Parnham getting a lot now, enteresting,as I seen Carbery riding The Velvet Queen the other day,or is that because Chris was unavailable he was on Valour Road..
