Harness link have an article on Emma Stewart and her use of  Hartmann's Drip on race day

Note: She states that Hartmanns contains no illegal substances. Incorrect. It contains sodium lactate which slowly metabolises into sodium bicarbonate which is of course the alkalising agent that neutralises lactic acid build up. Fair few missiles aimed at Adam Hamilton ( I believe).

The old saying no integrity no industry. Penalties are to light and the stewards need to demand more respect from all participants.

Would i love to shake Anthony Butts hand - and pat him on the back hes actually had  the courage and character to come out publicly and say that

    3 Cheers for Anthony Butt

And i got stuck into Stewart for going down to Tassie - ok the Cup and Derbys - ok fair enough no problem  - but to win 9 of the 10 races - you know the bread and butter races so the local participants miss out on a bit of elevated stake money which they badly need

And of course one poster - the 1 who has got multiple accounts - he called me a miserable sod for barracking against Emmas horses that night

Ive never liked Stewart - and hows her statement - i only became aware of this rule - that is utterly pathetic

And i have never liked her partner Clayton Tonkin  who has got a disqualification on his rap sheet for using Blue Magic

I’ve never liked you either but I don’t cheer for you to fail
    In life, quite similar

Morning, If the harness industry is not committed to integrity it's only a word in the dictionary unfortunately our industry has it's fair share that relate only to the word in the dictionary.

Just a question on the rule - and im only asking - i dont want the normal few to instantly jump down my throat

They say its been in place 6 years - and the rule is one clear day - and obviously the ones who break that rule want to administer the stuff as close to  racetime as possible - Brooke McPherson ( 6 mths ) caught in the float to the track - and there was the WA  one - stop in a suburban st on the way to GP - and been plenty of others

But one clear day- what does that mean - if i had a horse in race 1 at Pinjarra on a Monday - race starts at 1pm - does the 1 clear day mean i can administer stuff up to midnight Sunday night - or does one clear day mean a minium of 24 hours before the commencement of that Race Meeting - thats my question - and in my opinion it should be the 2nd option

The clear day is all of the Sunday, not the day you race which in that case is Monday

Be interested to know the opinion of people on lasix not being ok to use race day, when I went to America it was in the race book at Santa Anita like a gear change.”lasix first time” personally I would of thought it would be better for some horses health race day.

Interesting question. At the risk of painting a target on my back......there is a pretty decent line of thinking that "bleeders breed bleeders". There is some genetic disposition to pulmonary haemorrhage in all horses subjected to strenuous exercise but in many, it is so slight that only lung washes can detect the very slight bleeds from very fine vessels rupturing.

However the tendency for major bleeds has some thinking it is passed onto offspring, Certainly, if contemplating using a particular stallion or mare, you would want to be aware of its history in this critical area. The open use of Lasix on race days would tend to hide the facts in terms of whether a horse is a bleeder. Whilst it would be better for some on race day, I think we have the ruling pretty right in Australia.

Should be allowed to use lasex race day no questions asked especially in this day in age with the animal rights do gooders breathing down our necks, anything that can help with an aliment leading to distress and suffering to a horse should be highly considered

But you’d be aware it raced on lasix? For the horse welfare and longevity of them we’d be much better off if we could race on it.
