The Oaks could be an exciting race to watch

Michael Stanley - very aggressive driver - doesnt mind going to the breeze and making it genuinely run - so Edwards horse leads - and the Soho horse breezes

    Interesting betting race 5 horses at 150-1   2 horses at 125-1 and 1 horse at 100-1 - basically 2 Even money joint faves a 4 to 1 pop - and a 15 to 1 shot

Last night could be a snap shot of the next 10yrs with Deni and Jnr gong toe to toe down the straight many times in one night.

Deni had always been a good quiet driver but since the big move has really started to master the controlled aggression mode, such a key to winning races at GP. Being treated to our own mini Kerryn Manning at the moment.

The powers that be really have something they can advertise with these clashes in the future, both of them present very well in the media.

Hopefully they can expand that reach beyond TAB radio and draw in some new punters.

The Oaks was a great race last night

Well done to August Moon on the win - but i thought the run of the 2nd horse Turn The Page  was outstanding - 3 wide no cover last 1000 - 57.4 last half mile - and boy was it doing it tough - not many horses can sustain the run doing that amount of work - at the unforgiving tight GP track

There was a long delay Tab .Com - interim to final div - what did the connections want to look at the photo print

Small knock on Ritchie the caller - and  the guy in Tassie - Matt Robertson has got the same habit - they call what they think is going to happen - and they will call it before it happens

I reckon there is many a race with Ritchie at GP - when something comes from behind with momentum - and he will say its hit the lead - when in fact it hasnt - it is a metre or a couple of feet away from doing that

When they hit the line live - i was certain the outside horse had won - but i thought August Moon put its head on a weird angle right on the line to its benefit

What did you think of M Stanley's drive?

No problem at all - made the early obvious move to the breeze - that is consistent with the horses racing  pattern - it ran an honest race - it ran 4th

Probably wished he had had a practice run first. Let the leader get a margin on him on the stables bend. Highly doubt he would have let that happen if he had his time again.
