Opinions mean nothing unless supported by facts....actual facts, not dart throwing guess work. For starters, the guys name is Aiken, not Aitken, for seconds, he won not one but two NSW Driving Titles, 1989 and 1993, and to win 151.5 races in 1989 including including 115.5 at metropolitan meetings, I suspect he deserves a bit more respect. And Andrew Peace must have ambled up 3 wide to the breeze for 700 metres 203 times when he was the leading driver in Australia, also in 1989. A great year for "average" drivers

So said by the poster who doesnt rate Popular Alm - who just happened to beat Gammalite 22 out of 24 clashes - but your nice and safe with your 7-8 pals here  - you can get away with saying that nonsense - and aernt we brave saying it

And for the ones who didnt see Popular Alm it was as good as Im The Mighty Quinn - but this esteemed poster doesnt rate the horse

I have never posted anything questioning anyones honesty - others have - but thats no problem at all in our little circle of friends here

quinny and Popular alm 2 very different horses, 2 different eras, if your going to compare the 2 at least back that statement up with some facts

Puts words in peoples mouths does Marko, apparently saying you prefer one horse over another is "not rating" the horse. What complete nonsense.  Have always rated both, never ever said "I don't rate Popular Alm" but certainly preferred Gammalite. But that is what gaslighters do, they divert, they twist facts to suit themselves, make stuff up, ignore actual facts. It is tremendously entertaining.
I'd suggest Quinnies three interdominion wins along with everything else he won on all sized tracks in every place in the Dominion might suggest superiority over just about all others but different eras as you say, almost impossible to compare.
That'll do, popcorn is nearly ready.

    Yep, lets.

Couple I like tonight....was going to like Ima Five Star General but not at the price, still think it will run a nice race. Off out to cart hay so early bets on, blind to the flucs:
#11 Fess up in Race 1, really like this horse.

#10 race 2 The Kraken the  place

#10 race 4 Alcopony...this shapes as one of the best contests of the night, there is a few that will have their race faces on early, should be hotly contested lead with lots of gate speed. Really need to see the flucs but won't, so ACL smoking the pipe late each way for interest.

R1: Won't be a walk in the park for No8 Im The Black Flash but I think it will keep Fess Up inside it early and then behind it which will be the key to winning. I'll be playing a first four. I think No4 Vintage Blu crosses which gives both it and No1 Mista Editorial great claims. No11 Fess Up the other obvious one, then a few more for the back end.
    FF:8/1,3,11/1,3,11/1,3,4,10,11,12. 100% costs $24.

R2: Something small on No3 Alcippes Delight on the basis I think it can get the top. Codename Marcus won like Mount Eden last start so would be good to see him do that again.

R3: No1 Thomson Bay looks the leader and the winner to me, the $3.30 seems great.

R4: I have to stick to my convictions that No1 Blitzembye can lead and win a free for all. Going to cop some heat from Watts Up Sunshine and Vampiro which could make for a run on but I don't think the pressure will be sustained if Blitzem can show early enough that it's holding up.

R5: If I were to have a bet here the $3.25 No6 Lusaka a place is appealing. Looks a really soft breeze for her and then it and the fave can control the tempo.

R6: Loved the return of No12 Born To Boogie, it should be close enough in the run to figure in the finish, good for a 1win 4plc type bet.

R7: Similar boat to the previous race, If No3 Jackie Daniels fronts up like she did last start she is well worth a 1win 4 plc ratio bet. I'd love to see it have a shot for the front but realistically the 1 likely has the speed and desire to hold. Still happy to be on JD somewhere near the lead. I don't see Zyphyra as an even money play from this draw, she has done a lot more than these in the past but she isn't racing like a horse than can be driven in an aggressive manor and not be vulnerable at the finish.

R9: EW No6 Runningonempty. Some chance it can cross but can feature in the finish here any number of ways.

R10: No1 Battlescard leads and wins.

    Good luck all.

Lots of nice each ways tonight.
    Fess Up 4s fixed.
The Watch Maker 3rd up 20s fixed for a place
Whatabro hopefully has a good crack for lead or he can get good sit (no backline)
Patronus Star 1700 early speed should be on only a matter of time with this horse DEG on board.
Ekara Navajo big run last week only getting better.
Our Star Watch will just need a split and he wins.

Good run from the peoples horse Skylord after losing all its momentum although not looking overly tractable-not really filling its spot all that well at times and not super keen on the right reign trying to angle it out in the straight it seemed.

    Work in progress.

Still happy with my $6 the place Im The Black Flash.

So many chances will all come down to the draw.
TBF draws 1 it will be $1.80 place.
