I mean look at any of the tracks here that are smaller than 900m you'll see an abudence of winners with GS L 1 next to there names collie last week I think the majority of winners were either in front or outside of the leader and the week before was much the same

Seems a bit weird to me.

oh no the leaders keep winning. Close the place down and all move down to collie where racing is competitive and leaders don’t win and we can also get $5 stubbies
It’s not even acknowledging the other bleeding obvious stat either.
LightningJake likes this post.
it's not about liking the stat's or not it's the fact that we can all shit on gp because it's "leader bias" and 'boring' racing, yet at collie the past two weekends you've had more short priced favourites winning with the exact same pattern of racing, yet some how that's entertaining is it ?? The free for all at Melton tonight aswell as the Geelong cup last weekend was a walk and a sprint home with zero pressure and guess what the leader won in both instances, the fact is your always going to have boring leader bias racing if no one is prepared to put a horse into the race and create pressure it's got zilch to do with track dimensions

Don’t even get me started.
I didn’t even shit on GP as you state.
The fact is if something doesn’t change then the industry is doomed. It is only surviving because govt employees who have destroyed it are trying to save face and their jobs.
Go gear your horses up.

the industry is doomed because of all the in house fighting and people only caring for their own agenda
at what stage did I say you in particular shit on the track ??? Yea I agree things have to change where I disagree with you is blaming it on gp I think there are alot bigger problems in the industry than one particular track
“In house fighting” as you say didn’t close down four/five clubs in the wheatbelt. “In house fighting” didn’t close down Kalgoorlie. “In hose fighting” didn’t allow 4500 NZ horses to come across and win 90% of major races in WA for the last 30 years whilst small stables and the breeding industry folded.
It has been one Eff Up after another and now your seeing the results and blaming easy targets. Do not blame those people that wanted change but we’re ignored.
I no longer own or train horses but I do like a bet. However I find it very interesting that persons who have so much invested in WA pacing are happy for the status quo to continue.
I must look into Melton land values.

I mean we aren't the only state who have imported nz horses in the past 30 years yet the other states seem to be travelling ok so I think that point of ya argument is irrelevant, how have there breeding industries been able to stay viable and ours haven't ??
My point is the issues are and have been that obvious and ignored for so long that you seriously wonder WHY ????

the people running the show are the big issue it's not that they don't try to implement change it's that they decide to make these decisions without going to the industry as a whole asking for feedback/opinions and 9/10 times it's a terrible decision and it bites them on the ass

If one industry continually attracts the most media/attention for a period of 25 years then of course its going to dominate the other two codes ( which is what has happened).
Forget about track sizes, front runners etc until media coverage is equalised across all three codes it will only get worse.
Call me facetious but when you have a majority pro gallops controlling body, would it not be in their best interests to promote their own code.
On the flip side if increasing overall growth and turnover across the three codes is a goal then equal media coverage across all three is a no brainer ,,,,, so why is it not happening ???
