Yet to study the card and most markets aren't even up yet.
Two things to note early doors, Riff Rocket at 2.10 looks unders, Sunsets who beat him fair and square really at 13/3.50 I'd prefer at this stage.

Secondly I'm not so sure there isn't a bit of angst with Zahra and team Maher/Eustace as he isn't riding for them this weekend from what I noticed(for example no way he jumps off Brave Mead by choice)and they have bloody Jamie Spencer on instead!
And Carleen got the punt off of United Nations for him too .. booooo to that!

So who has some tips for the card on Saturday c'mon it's a great day let's hope it's a winning one.

Also Think About It the winning beast suits up again, i love watching him race and I havent seen him lose its an amazing rise to the top .Will be extremely hard to beat once again.
The Mexicans on racing.com reckon Imperatriz is a better sprinter lol at 1000m maybe but beyond that I'm on the sydneysider all day every day.

Yep it seems there has been something occur after the original "jokes" etc around him jumping off.
Can't think of any other reason he wouldn't be riding Brave Mead amongst others, unless a deal has been struck because Spencer was coming back down anyway.

Idk about the rule in the MC apprentices can't ride? Zac Lloyd has a ride as far as I know, has outridden his claim but still an apprentice I think.

Apprentices can ride in the cup , they have to have ridden a specified amount of city winners

Have to wait and see how the Pom rides it on Saturday, possibly going to need a minor miracle to get it home.
How many rides has he had here, doesn't spring to mind as having had much success or even a lot of rides but I could be wrong haha.

In the Coolomore i'm looking at backing Shinzo and I'll probably have a spec on Veight back to 1200, i reckon 12-1400 is his wheelhouse so he might stalk and finish off strong..could be the race J Kah bounces back to the top.
Should mention I'm Unstoppable also.

Hard race though at least half a dozen could win it.

Caught my eye first up, So could have come back good this time in. And no Asfoora in this race.

Race 6 Coolmore Stud Stakes

MORAVIA $15 was $34

Has had some cracking runs in nice races. Don't think it really had much room last start when 2 lengths of Militarize. D Oliver on is a plus.

This is a cracking race and there is a heap of chances.

Don Corleone $67 is way overs and I give Steparty and I am Unstoppable real good chances at odds also.

Race 7 Victoria derby

VERDAD $10

They will need to ride him colder and he will need to settle. But he can definitely win this if this happens. I'm not worried that Apulia went straight past him the other day. Think connections tried something and it didn't work. He went too hard and too quick last start.

Race 8 

ALCOHOL FREE $5

Big drop-in class here. Backing up from last week might be key here up to 1600.

Race 9

KALINO $9

Ticks a hell of a lot of boxes

Track 1/1

Track and distance 1/1

Jockey 2 rides for a 1st and 3rd

Loves a good track placed 7 of 10

Has won when forward or back. So can be ridden to suit the day.

MANTELLI $34

Class drop here suits. Won't be sitting outside an Oscars Fortune this week. Cross, Lead and  hopefully hold on.

I blackbooked Speak after the last run, definite knockout chance in the Archer.

One quick ? I know he is half the price but you don't like Triple Missile R4? Star Patrol form is pretty appealing.
Inside gate is the only worry, Jmac will have to work that out.

Its great form. But I think COL Is a real good mare. Here previous 5 runs were all group 1s before the spell and she was just off them. She may have been below her best. She did catch my eye first up and i think $8 is great value if she is back to her best

Fair enough, i subsequently saw her replay a bit earlier while watching one of the many shows..last 100 and past the line was good.

I should mention I'll be having something on Lempicka my quaddie hero from CC Day in R3.
Form isn't awful down the straight and is clearly in career best form, $13 at least is available atm.Queen Of The Ball looks the tester with ok form in a Coolmore last year and Bryce Heys who always has a decent mare ticking over has Dancing Alone flying.
There is your trifecta folks.

Less sure on Eddie McGuire heading up a horse racing coverage but it was ok I suppose.
