I think Ascot is the most leader biased track around if your horse is a get back run home type and the speed isn't on you have no chance

Only 1 leader won on the day I think ? Not yet watched the replays and had a family function on yesterday so missed the bulk of the meeting, but as far as I remember only Black Spirit led all the way

First day of The Pinnacles and we have a major problem.
How do Eastern States trainers feel, bringing quality horses across to a jurisdiction where there always is some issue.
They knew about this a week prior and didn't act until later in the week. Not acceptable.

Thought the track played fair yesterday. Lot winners were in the second half field on straightening

I've just gone back through some replays and this fertiliser spill would have occurred 2nd or 3rd November. The replays from 1st Nov have no burnt patch but the Sat meeting on 4th Nov clearly show it.
From there onwards, the area did not grow back. It seemingly was never going to grow back in time for the Pinnacles, so why did it take until Friday the 17th to block that turf? The day before the Pinnacles opening meeting!
I feel that the industry needs to work together more in this area... the track staff need to take trainers/jockeys opinions on board more often for a start.
