Good to see you back nevershow. The bloke has played I think 10 test for Aus and none since the ashes of 2019 where I grant you his figures weren’t flag. But since then has undoubtedly or for the last couple of seasons since has been the best opener at shield level. . I somewhat reckon the chatter around the bowling quartet has something to do with it. Surely if your the best batsman in a certain position and have been in that position for the last couple shield seasons you deserve the gig

Hear what you’re saying Spink but he goes @ less than a 39 average in all first class cricket. Strike rate low 40’s. It’s just not good enough when you’re pushing 32yrs of age
What a disgrace CA has become. How this bloke didnt get the openers gig is a absolute joke . Who is running CA ?.
NSW is running the selectors show and they have bannedcroft. Approx half Aus team are NSW and Bannedcroft is paying the price for publicly stating that most players knew about the ball tampering not just the players that were punished.

I was watching the NSW v WA One Day Cup final (Marsh is it? I don't know).
Stats came up that blew my mind: Daniel Hughes has played 46 List A games for 11 centuries and 11 50s at an average of 59! Extraordinary numbers. Yet never even enters (or entered) the conversation for Australian representation.
